well.. seeing as this phone WON'T come with neither quad DAC or wireless charging in the EU, I can imagine only a minority who would buy it....

Note7 owner, 06 Apr 2017I give this model 7 months before it runs into bootloops...I believe you even though they got a hefty penalty for all that.

Now my g4 have 32gb and everything I store in sd card if possible and permanently have to free internal memiry space. Downgraded camera from Xiaomi and LeEco? Wow... Yes, optics and algorithms still strong, but 1/3" sensor is 1/3 sensor. What about updates in future? Bet g6 will receive not more times than fingers on one hand, or one-two extra, like my g4.

So according to this article G5 was worthy of criticism for actually trying something new, and G6 that plays it safe, and actually kills one of the main LG features (removable batt) is a fair game. Goes to show how much reporting is coloured and tries to sway opinion.
In most things, things are well clear cut, but with the right amount of reporting you can get the opposite sense. I.e. the attempt to innovate is bad, and the attempt to be as conservative as possible is a good. Or the opposite of course, depending on the mood of the day.

I'd be interested but for this 'withholding features from certain regions' BS from LG. That kind of behaviour is so polarising. Like which manufacturer, with any ambitions does this!? Same thing with Sony.
Note 8 I imagine could be something special. I think the fingerprint sensor under the screen is a realistic possibility for it. iPhone 8 I genuinely believe will have to pull out all the stops. Its the anniversary edition and Apple will surely want to display more so than ever, just how far we've come.

- Iris scanner
- Much improved, futuristic design
- Bixby, which does MORE than Google
Assistant. That's a fact. E.g. camera search feature.
- SD835 which is MUCH faster than 821 and more power efficient
- New Samsung UX
- New programmable button
- Upgraded front camera
You can carry on being a troll, or you could just get a life...

vrvly, 06 Apr 2017Poor lg, v20 would sell here better, because g6 is like jok... moreThe reason why other manufacturers like Samsung and Google use 12MP camera is that they acknowledged the fact that lower resolution with larger pixel size is better than higher resolution with smaller pixel size. So in other words they traded off the resolution in favor to get better quality.
But the reason behind LG G6's 12MP is different. The reason why LG used 12MP camera in G6 is that they simply don't have the money to use better camera. In other words, there is NO benefit from the lower resolution of G6's camera. The G6's 12MP camera has the same pixel size as the G5's 16MP camera. Moreover, the G6 camera has smaller sensor size than G5. So it's an absolute dowgrade.

I almost bought the phone before realizing that the European model won´t get the quad DAC beside that the won´t get wireless charging neither. Others should pass too and maybe next time LG won´t try to sell it´s lower versions to us like in some kind of 3rd world market.
