its a singled chiped SOC, even worse is the 16nm transistor count, its the same chip as smartphones(not computer/ARM)cant do long game sesson/cant render gX inhouse, dont have a dedicated GUI,,,,in the name of console,,,,,console means warhorse,it must sould have X86,so who is the illitrate¿ AOL,,,

When it comes to video game console exclusive games is far more important than being more powerful that's why Sony keep making more money with PS4 than Microsoft with their Xbox One.
PC Gamer can bragging about their powerful PC that can play games at higher resolution and faster frame rate but no matter how powerful their PC it can't play PS4 exclusive games.
With Xbox it's a different story you no longer need an Xbox because all the games will also available on Windows 10 so it will be better if you just build a PC than wasting your money on their console.

It's how consoles have to be now so that to survive. Else everyone and his dog would migrate to PCs, nobody wants to rebuy his/her titles every console cycle (as he/she doesn't when buys a new GFX card).

Being ~4x faster means it can do 4k@60 in games that are 1080p@60 in xbox one (because 4k@60 is exactly 4 time the in formation oF 1080p@60). But since the majority of games were not 1080p@60 you won't see 4k@60 ... you *will* see upscale 1440p@60 though which looks equally impressive on screens that are 65 inches and below (I.e. what most people own).
For true 4k gaming, as per always, you'd need a PC ... but very few need to do true 4k gaming (either their mo monitor/TV doesn't support it or they sit too far away to see the difference), to the rest an xbox scorpio would be fully enough as far as graphics fidelity goes.

seems really overpovered for a mid generation update.
But if games actually can make use of the extra power, it is impressive.
I wish that MS enabled the Xbox Ones and scorpio to work as computers, even if it was an added license for less than 100 dollars including Office, the new Paint app.
MS should also work on getting more streaming apps to the platform.

You have to laugh at the pony player comments. Of course it's better than the ps4 pro in many ways. I like the way this journalist wrote the article, Well done for not being like 1 or 2 negative posters out there. Microsoft, here, take my money. We look forward to supporting this and everything you give us hereafter.
