Some Samsung Galaxy S8 users are complaining about reddish tint on display

18 April 2017
Correcting the phone's color display settings allegedly doesn't improve the situation.

It's just a warning sign when the device's temperature climbs too much, it means it's about to explode. Just stop using it for 1-2 hours and it'll be okay.

Tann Hauser, 18 Apr 2017Probably older than you thank you. Not the same? 12mp... morePure speculation (including the age thing). Can't judge on pre-release units. Will rather wait for the GSMA review.

The S8 in the middle doesnt have the red tint problem though. I dont see why people make a big deal out of this. Even if it is a problem, Samsung willingly change it at the service center. Judging from the picture itself the person is already at the service center. I doubt he get his preordered directly from the store.

A very simple fix.... I just bought two S8+ and inside the menu Samsung has fixed any issues with white balance with too much red, green or blue tinge...

Under screen options in menu go to Screen mode. Under colour balance (changes appearance of colour tones), you can increase or decrease the red, blue or green., This does not affect any colour like it does on iPhone but just the white tones. If too much red, turn it half way down and problem solved. Truly the best.

I have two S8+ and one has a blueish tinge other red, both fixed easily with this fix. No issues whatsoever. But very WHITE!!!

I had same problem with Xperia XP / X but I could change it through settings so if Samsung possibly update android and give manual sliders to change it as users want then it'll be fixed. P.S. Xperia XP / X are paper phones, I don't recommend it.

12mpx sensor, same size pixels, dualpixel autofocus. But youre right, its 0.05 smaller size sensor than one in S7, so you could say its different yes.
Seen samples... more noise in lowlight, more contrast in video.
Overall could be even worse than one in S7.
But waiting dxomark tests for that.

It isn't surprise for me. Samsung phones had problems before and not worth that huge amount of money.

And apart from newer sensor, S8 and S7 basically have the same camera, lol - I guess f1.7 is different from f1.7 HAHAHAHA
