Although it could easily be fake considering how awful Samsung phones are in terms of quality control and even general quality I won't have a hard time believing this. Not to mention every single company is releasing Rushed phone

this happens when you enable "Blue Light Filter" :) this basically protects your eyes from excessive light. Turn it off.

at first i see the warning in brightness level (the slider turn red when being push all to the limit), then the limitation in rendering resolution (you will get 1080p FullHD+ out of the box, but no one really complain, when it come to XZ Premium rendering algorithm, everyone bash it) and now this, i hope they fix it, it's a good phone btw

mmj321, 18 Apr 2017It's edited look at the red color its not consistent across... moreDont know bout edit, people are reporting so much, even the company felt obligated to reply didnt it? . The photo is random one of S8 on a stand in a store, if true, screen obviously goes berserk in less than a month of use.
Source article says someone quoting this HDR compliant AMOLED uses deeper red pixels that could be causing this red burnouts or tint, and two doublecolor halfgreen subpixels... probably for HDR compliance.
So if indeed true, seems Sammy rushed with tech again too soon to earn as much buck.
From batterygate to screengate.
And people still give them money. Uh...

It's AMOLED screen issue. Since i had nokia N8 Symbian and N9 Meego(2011). The both had tint/purple colour on display. The only solution is you must have brightness control app 3rd party installed.

Wait, this is not new. Since Note 4/Galaxy S6 it is a challenge to find a Samsung flagship without pink tint (full or partial). Note 4, S6, S7, Note 5, they all had this issue. Is not an amoled problem, since I found it on HTC 10 also, I suspect the glue between glass and screen as the cause...
Writing this comment from the 5-th S7 Edge, with screen ok :-).

Anonymous, 18 Apr 2017Well, samsung have lot of service center so no problem at a... moreI think Apple service centers actually know more about the sam phones than sammy itself. At least in Europe Sammy has no clue about their phones.
