[deleted post]"nokia had through history been known for giving users what they need and not necessarily what they want"
oh you mean huge 8 mp camera dual led flash but has a stupid fixed focus !!?? auto focus is what people "need" not 8 mp camera.
and you supposedly super efficient symbian can offer only a super laggy browser, isnt it? another place where nokia fails to give what people "need". there are many more such examples like no panaroma mode in a device with the largest sensor and lens, lack of qwerty keyboard on portrait etc. its just a myth that nokia gives what people need or maybe its used to be like that in the past, but no longer.
"also know that the lg options with its dual core claims to record 720p at 30fps but really, the frame rate drops to about 17 fps at night while all symbians with their slow procedures maintain the same rate in all conditions"
i suppose you are talking about optimus 2x, isnt it? it had a problem with its video recording only in its pre release version, see the update in gsmarena. it delivers full 30 fps with 720 p and upto 22-24 fps with 1080p.
and the slow processors in n8 really did let it down because it will never be able to record 1080p with its current SoC.

AnonD-1124, 30 Mar 2011Nokia is not canning jobs because it I'd not in the financi... moreYou're hilarious. So you're saying Nokia is an evil company then? It's laying off all these people not because it has to due to financial reasons but because they want to?
You obviously lack the ability to read, every article so far has confirmed that the T7 is going to be nHD, so where are you getting that it will be a higher resolution? Just because you wished it were true doesn't make it true.
So when Nokia uses a higher clocked processor, its a marketing gimmick/stunt; however when Android uses higher processor it is because the OS is overbloated and requires more power? Show me this proof then? Like I said, I thought Nokia was all about efficiency, power savings? Thats what you Nokia noobs keep touting when in reply to why Nokia can not seem to put decent hardware into their phones? I am speaking hardware in terms of processor, ram, and screens here, not "the casing is made of aluminium" crap you noobs keep thinking hardware is.

What the ment was that the Android versions out now do not fully support using the dualcore and take all of it's power into the use. Where as Android 3.0 supports full dualcore tasking. Android 3.0 is only for tablets.

If ^3 devices are locked in terms of CPU clock, then maybe you know a way to unlock it?
Is it possible softwarewise?

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2011G1 had an adapter, E71 didn't have 3.5mm headjacks too did ... moreNokia is not canning jobs because it I'd not in the financial position to support them but rather because it didn't need them. Infact nokia had never at any point in its evolution been in a financial crisis.
Perhaps you didn't read the first time. The t7 would be compatible with apps written for nhd and vga screens.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure a higher resolution display would require more processing power. Although I feel going to ghz would be a marketing stunt. If you have doubts about symbians power efficiency, you might want to remember that the processors in the current s^3 devices are underclocked.

Is there a Nokia smartphone roadmap that shows where all these models fit and the primary differences between them?
Oh and I wish my N8 (which died, still waiting for replacement) had come with a much faster CPU / more RAM - so slow to do so many (basic) tasks.
