AnonD-1124, 29 Mar 2011I don't make it a point to cream tech history. My mistake i... moreG1 had an adapter, E71 didn't have 3.5mm headjacks too did it? I owned the E71, it had a 2.5mm headjack. ;) That's your rebuttal? Then what's your rebuttal for this? Nokia plans to can 16,000 jobs worldwide. That doesn't tell you a very good picture of its financial stability huh? Sure a lot of those jobs are developers for Symbian, but wait, they had that many people working on Symbian and they still lost to iOS and Android? Sure its not "fragmentation", oh wait what about devices that doesn't support higher resolution? That'll take cause some fragmentations. Of course Nokia noobs wouldn't know what fragmentation really is or affects users. The point about the 1GHz ARM 11 cpu is you nokia noobs always cried out that your Symbian OS was so efficient that it didn't need more than 680MHz, yet now nokia releases a 1GHz device and you guys cry out awesomeness? If your devices were so efficient why does Nokia need to release a faster CPU? According to laws of Nokia fanboyism(not an actual law here) anymore than 680MHz is just a waste and drains battery life.

I realise that Nokia is heavily involved in both hardware and software and that different business units are probably responsible for each but jeez... Hardware isn't holding Nokia back, so new hardware isn't going to help! As much as I like shiny new toys I can't take Nokia seriously until they deliveron their software promises.

[deleted post]I don't make it a point to cream tech history. My mistake is forgivable. Perhaps it was ios which lacked mms support. But still, the point was, all major oses lacked basic features at launch. droids couldn't until fairly recently install apps on external storage and your g1 didn't have a head phone jack.
Who said anything about a 1ghz arm 11? Who cares that there are 'better' alternatives to a component if adequate performance could be obtained using the available and cheaper resources? Friendly not the rational man. Bluetooth had been available for years yet remote controls stick with infrared.
According to the source, the t7 would be compatible with apps for nhd and vga resolutions. Where is the fragmentation? That's an android specific problem.

Anonymous, 29 Mar 2011"1Ghz ARM 11 is still crap compared to any more effici... moreIt doesn't have to be dual core, even the single core arm9 is more efficient and powerful than the arm11. Im not too informed on this but does symbian^3 support dual core prioritization? Even if it does doesn't mean squat because android is first to the market with dual core and that's what the consumers will associate with dual core processors. Its much like how in that article a while back where nokia mobile developer complained how executives "hindered" innovation and they had ideas for 3d screens, well that's all talk because LG and htc are first to the market with 3d mobile device, and guess what, they run on android. So you guys can deny it as much as you want, android is the leading mobile os.

[deleted post]"1Ghz ARM 11 is still crap compared to any more efficient ARM."
I suppose you'd rather have a dual core WHICH ANDROID DOESNT SUPPORT.
It's the megapixel race all over again. Wait a while and Nokia will come along and do it right, just like the N8's camera.

Like to see what "T" means on this new mobile,an can"t wait to see the images an specs of this model,2011 as been very quiet for Nokia an now we might alast be seeing some more new models,as Nokia said they still hope to sell 150million symbian phones but until we see something being released soon,it might be target to high to meet now from Nokia
