Anonymous, 19 Apr 2017Thank you. Honestly anyone can rig speed test by selecting ... moreYet they don't ... while there are some apps that are common between the different speed tests, most are different.
It's easy to cheat on those tests, but most don't. In fact it's far easier to cheat in things like Antutu and there indeed there's a lot of cheating.
Instead of baseless accusations that some channels cheat, just check the raw power between the two (video encoding), or do tests yourself. Iphones are at least a generation ahead. I don't even like Apple, I just wish that Androids competed on that end as well instead of saying "naaah, we're fast enough" ... well, you're *not*.

Slowness adds up.
Stop underplaying the issue and start demanding *more* from your phone manufacturer. The difference in speed and fluidity is more than palpable. After months of use one instantly knows that he's not on an iphone anymore (making the switch). I love androids, but they're a bit slow.
About 3 years ago they were closing the gap, and by now it's wide open again, mostly due to Qualcomm's semi-monopoly (terrible company that cannot keep up w Apple).

AnonD-656673, 19 Apr 2017Whenever I see any speed tests between iOS and Android, it'... moreNot true the difference between C4etech and phonebuff (for example) apps' choice is palpable. If what you say is true there would be at least one channel that finds the iphones (to be) slower. Not one, zip, none ... only some that cheat and compare on per app basis instead of the whole experience (all apps + ram retention).

AnonD-656673, 19 Apr 2017Both are entirely different systems, and if you're doing a ... moreTrue that. But with today's flagships that difference is milliseconds at best. Irrespective of os. Open apps like calculator compass camera calendar etc. There won't be much to differentiate. That should be basis of a speed test not something depending on third party

NewNicknameAgain, 19 Apr 2017Thanks But my sister isn't interested about updates anyway... moreYou're welcome! In general low-end and mid-range phones get maximum 1 major update...if you want to be more up-to-date flagships in general get 2 major updates...and the best at support are Nexus and Pixel phones(which are made by Google itself), these end up with one generation newer OS...if we talk about 2015, phones get: low/mid 6.0.1, flagships 7.x, Nexus 5X/6P Android O(8.X?)...in general if I can I get only Nexus/Pixel devices for their support, smoothness and stock experience.
