No headphone jack is pretty much a deal breaker for me. I was so excited to purchase this phone too. I guess you can use an adapter of some sort but that just seems like more trouble than it's worth. I'll just stick with my beat up LG4 for now. Bummer. I guess I could get a Mi 5...

It's a really great phone but no 3.5 jack no deal. Somebody should tell xiaomi that Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. I don't see any real reason to omit the audio Jack other than blindly copying the others in saving a little of space .

I don't blame the YouTubers, they're as much as a fanboi as you're. Mostly I don't see any 4k video uploading to drive on any "speed tests", because iphones don't win that. Games like asphalt 8 are properly optimised for metal (API for iOS ONLY), and not optimised for Vulcan or opengl 3.1, Facebook devs prefers iOS, so any app from them opens faster.

AnonD-446067, 19 Apr 2017You are so uninformed. The only thing iPhones are faster in... moreBut that's the issue. In Benchmarks iphones win by a little, in actual use though they *destroy* android. In app launch times they're far faster, they never have to reload apps (androids push background apps outside the memory pool all the time). In fact benchmarks are their *weak* point.

                                  iphone win in:

Benchmarks (not by much, apart from the single core where they dominate)
App lauch times (again not by a lot, but those times add up)
RAM retention (they *dominate* there as iphones rarely reload anything , making the whole experience far more fluid)

Games (no people don't just play light games, some of the best selling games are very taxing to the GPU).

So no matter what kind of user are you, iphones will be faster. That's just a fact, get over it.

I'm not even saying that iphones are better phones, I'm a xiaomi fanboy, because I get the customizability of android, with a speed that nears iphone's (but still it's lower) , for pennies. I *love* that, it's a win-win situation. What I'm saying is that if androids want to be performance champs they have to try harder, no two ways about it, you can't just claim to be faster, you have to be it.

Anonymous, 19 Apr 2017They don't merely compete in single core, they *destroy* in... moreYou are so uninformed. The only thing iPhones are faster in, is opening games. But a vast majority of people don't play games, or only play light games. And fast Androids (e.g. S7 Exynos, Mate 9, Pixel), beat iPhones in performance tests in pretty much everything else. And as for benchmarks, they're worthless. So conclusion is that most users will Android faster, or will find nor difference.
