1080p 5.1" display
Beeeeeautiful design. Silver color killing me. Beautiful color options.
Bigg battery.
6GB RAM.
Don't care much about dual camera. Actually I wish they had chosen single IMX 378.
Soooo disappointed no 3.5mm jack and no waterproofing. Just splash resistant. And that's the deal breaker. Specially lack of water resistance.

At least you know , you can install android app even after a few years on any android . Try install apple app on iphone se after 2 or 3 year . It will say your device is not supported !

It depends on whether cost and long-term reliability is important to you. DVDs have low read and write speed. It's especially terrible for reading of small chunks of data. How long does it take for you to backup 200GB of data for DVD? How long will it take for you to restore? Imagine you have to do it every week. What happen if you want to read an image? Would you prefer to read from hdd, download it from one drive, or search for the DVD, insert into a machine with DVD drive, tolerate the slow reading speed? You have a point, but most people including me rather use other technologies

I was contend when i read no 3.5mm jack , but if i have stero speaker . It is still acceptable for me . Coz with that price , something need to lose . Stereo speaker over 3.5mm anyday for me . But if they have single speaker then i will sad. Next month hopefully its in the store . Screen size is prefect , im dont like 5.5 . 1080p is relevent . 2k or 4k on tiny 5.15 screen ? Please get yourself a freaking monitor if you are into 2k or 4k . Not that much of a fan for MIUI coz the locked bootloader , butttt. With that price , why not , latest chipset on a flagship which cost less than half of s8 !

What on earth poor peopl... moreAs good hardware wise (a9 ~ SD835 cpu wise, 2GB on iphone ~ 6GB of ram on android), similar battery most probably, most certainly better camera (SE has 6s level camera which kills any xiaomi's) ... and lastly some people plain like phones (one handed typing) instead of phablets (two handed typing).
Plenty of reasons to buy SE therefore.
The more media centric guys though should prefer the Mi6 as while slower (since it will have 4GB of ram meaning it would reload a lot of the apps) the bigger screen ensures better image as far as big content goes.

Usually those rumors aren't that credible but in case of removing 3.5 mm jack, it was pretty much confirmed well before the actual release. These companies that you mentioned, simply tried to beat Apple by releasing their phone first. Personally i think it's a pretty cheap tactic. Remember how Huawei beat Apple to 3d touch but anyone with a right mind knows that it was Apple's idea. That time rumored 3d touch was also confirmed.

Newer technology, changes or trends do not necessarily mean better. In fact, the changes and trends in the IT sector today are much worse. This is the case with glass body, non-removable battery trend, removal of FM radio, IR blaster, 3.5mm jack, etc. And this is the case with Firefox's removal of XUL/XPCOM addon support, Windows 10 compared to earlier Windows. Everything becomes much worse in the IT world.

CD becomes obsolete because people need bigger capacity storage.
DVD becomes obsolete because people need bigger capacity storage.
Cassette becomes obsolete because it was not compact, easily damaged, limited duration, etc.
3.5mm jack? No weakness except its wired cable.
So, why bother removing "perfect" feature in favor for "imperfect" ones?
USB audio is still in very early development stage. Not only it cannot beat the audio output of 3.5mm jack, it also consumes battery more than 3.5mm jack & makes it hard for people who want to enjoy listening music or talking using Handsfree while charging their phone without having an extension spilt cable for split audio & charging.

I even go as far as saying that leeco removed it after there appeared rumors that Apple will do it with the next iPhone
