Wow such a disappointment. An ugly 5s-like home button (there were rumors of an ultra-sonic fingerprint sensor located under the screen for Xiaomi 5 a year ago, which got axed evidently, I guess it was too much to hope for its comeback in 2017 flagship), no 3.5mm jack and large bezels (I was keeping my hopes up after Mi Mix). Oh well, going to skip upgrading a phone this year probably. The only pleasant surprise is a splash resistance. I honestly wasn't expecting that from Xiaomi, it means that they might be able to come up with a full-fledged water resistence next year.

None of that ultra-wide-screen silliness. None of that low battery 'cause it will explode silliness. None of that ultra high PPI that nobody sees without a microscope silliness. None of that low RAM 'cause "ram doesn't matter" silliness.
Probably, the fastest, most resilient, best balanced phone of early 2017.

Apple has full hd on 5,5" and it is okay
Sony uses full hd for 5,2" and it is a crime...

Phone without 3.5 jack is not serious. I am passing this one and waiting to see what OnePlus, OPPO, Elephone...etc. will offer.

An M-Disc Blu-ray (or BD-R) seems to be the best. HDD is good if you regularly need the data. That's why I said both disc and HDD for long term storage.

Great specs. Wait a few months. The price will become even more affordable. Look at Mi 5 already $260 now.

Phone is great as usual. But lack of 3.5mm audio jack is a dealbreaker.

I love xiaomi phones and in fact I'm typing this on a redmi 4 prime but looking at how they're just copying Apple by removing the headphone jack I'm very disappointed. Hell Apple had a reason it was an evil corporate reason but still a reason! xiaomi is just doing it for kicks i suppose.

I have, and SE is really something to laugh for. Except for the video recording capability, nothing is even on the same level as Mi 5.

So it's a more expensive honor 8 with a front fingerprint and better specs even the debut color blue which was honor 8's hallmark
They really copied Huawei on this one although well-done on the specs and let's see how the camera's are
Xiaomi cameras are sub par when compared to others

HTC 10 is nowhere near stereo as the One M9. You need at least one stereo channel to produce a stereo sound - speakers aren't sound filetracks that will create stereo sound out of 2 mono sounds
