Interesting proposition but no headphone jack means no more than a passing interest for me..! If it had a jack, I will be front of the queue....

This is a good idea, but like someone said, it will be copied, actually, not copied but similar ideas are already possible and are available in the play store. Also ZTE Nubia has similar features on their phone going back to the ZTE Nubia Z9
As for copy, I don't think it will be possible as I believe this will be a hardware features and not software; But you can have similar concept as software based in the play store already.
I Run circle Sidebar pay and free; one on each side of the phone screen which works very to what seen from the video. Although I still have to touch the screen, I only have to touch the very edge of the phone screen.

The htc flashgip phone always is very gd n is inovator but the other companies as apple or huawei copy the idea and sell it better than the HTC,
Huawei by the stup1d people buy tha garbage
And the hipnotisized apple fanboys buy it because is the "Best phone"
I love U htc u r the best phone maker and they r expensive but is ok the phones have a very good quality build

The Edge sense feature looks to be genuinely useful (Imagine scrolling/zooming without touching the screen while holding the phone in landscape). Alas, it's too bad the HTC U 11 doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Talk about deal-breakers........
