Gibby , 24 Apr 2017All those car manufacturers regularly upgrade their car des... moreI don't think so, actually the bezel is good for hold it and protect to the phone, but the slimmer bezel is a sick designs, you will touch the screen in accidently everytime and you even can't have a nice holding experience, it is also get the higher risk from drop damages. Do you know Sharp smartphone already have the bezel-less smartphone before Samsung S8 and S8+, so the slimmer bezel isn't a new vision in nowadays. I think they should making a the hardest smartphone just like a tank before the use the slimmer bezel designs, because a good design can't without a great durability to ensure it lifespan.

Massive bezels is not progressive design. It's an old characteristic that makes screens smaller & phones larger - unnecessarily so in 2017.
They could, and should, do so much better.
A pink paint job shouldn't fool anyone.
Life's like a marsh - you sink if you stop moving.
Sony has hardly moved in years.

Why are haters always complaining about the bezel and brick design,for all we know it's SONY SIGNATURE DESIGN. Why force sony to change design to look like iphone or samsung???? SONY IS NOT A COPY-PASTE like those chinese phone manufacturer. They're the only company who has a UNIQUE - Simplistic DESIGN that is different from all other smartphone. SONY IS LIKE A FERRARI of smartphones. ONLY FEW CAN AFFORD to buy it.

The reason why SONY wasn't able to release the phone earlier is due to snapdragon 835 chipset being hoarded by samsung as part of their agreement with Qualcom. NO OTHER Mobile tech was able to release a smartphone bearing a qualcom snapdragon 835 chipset as of this month, only SAMSUNG. Wait nextmonth and SONY will release their flagship the XZ PREMIUM.
