LG G6 launched in India with extensive discounts and offers

Given that this is a phone based on the Snapdragon 821 in a year of Snapdragon 835 flagships, it could make sense to wait for a while. The Mi6 should easily give this a run for the money (on paper at least).

As I am listening music for most of the time in mobile, (current model - HTC 10), The issue that bothers me is that Quad DAC of G6 version is not available for Indian Market. :( Else, it's a definite go for G6.

G5 is now at 30. LG V20 is now at 37k and it launched at 54k.
LG cant keep prices high on G6 as its phone will be outgunned by not only S8 but likes of upcoming OnePlus 4/5 and Mi 6 with newer faster hardware.
The devaluation for customers who get prime discount of 10k will be less, but still significant. Also another issue will be resale. LG phones dont fetch good resale value.
I really like the G6 but sadly its outgunned and priced way too high for SD821 phone. It is already getting huge cash discounts in other markets like EU, UK and USA. Same will happen here.

Not sure why everyone has missed out on one major factor when comparing the cost of the Samsung S8 and the LG G6. The SoC, its SD835 vs SD821 (almost a year old). But looking at this I was expecting a cost difference of at least 10k if not more. No doubt G6 is an amazing device but why should I pay a flagship price for a year old processor. The price should have been max 47k before discounts for the device to be lucrative, at least for me.

I will be buying the phone at 42k as on amazon there is 10k cash back for prime members... It's only 1 day sale on 25th April... I think no flagship phones gives such good discount at launch... 52k to 42k and 6 months 1 time free screen replacement... I want flat screen and dual camera... Last year I choose s7 edge over g5 and this year G6 over S8

At 45 K it's a steal. Even after 6 months G6 prices won't go below 40 K as it's a really good phone unlike G5. So those who are looking for value for money proposition should go for it. The only thing which bothers me is internal memory although there is dedicated memory slot. Free 128 GB memory card would have sweetened the deal further. Go LG.

Cant undestand.. The idea was to release G6 before Sammy could bring S8.
In many locations s8 is already available, G6 is not.

Surely after 6 months the LG G6 will get a massive price cut.. Now G5 costs only 40k and v20 cost around 38k...

And g5 is at 29k inr now after 2_3months it will be at 22-23 k inr then i will buy it

Although the S8 is certainly the superior phone, only the elite will be having access to it with that kind of pricing!!
