The "issue" is only occuring when someone uses the old charging pad from the S7 with the S8/S8+, instead of the new charging pad which is intended for the new phones, because the charging pad inside the phone is higher than it was on the S7.
Just turn the phone sideways instead, and it charges it without a problem.

Rob N, 25 Apr 2017I guess this is hapenning to the U.S customers..it must beI never had any difficulty using the Fast Wireless Charging on my Exynos GS8+ since the first day I bought it. So yeah, maybe this issue is only for some SD 835 GS8+ in the US.

Apple usually have their problems as well, when their devices are new.
Other brands sell far less devices.
Also even less than 1% of buyers of new flagships from Apple and Samsung are a bid number of people, so it will seem like a lot on forum and suport pages, but it could turn out to be a very minor percentage of the delivered phones that are actually affected.
The Note7 had hardware issues, that could potentially become a problem in the future, even for devices that seemingly worked perfectly. But the number of units that malfunctioned was far less than even 1 percent.
