Distributing a flagship such as the MIX 2 in the US by the end of the year would be nice for reputation.

Yeah, right (they would be completely killed of in the American courts for the myriad of patent infringements ... and that's why we can't have nice things. Better have a patent sitting on some drawer somewhere instead of tolerating someone trying to make use of it)
