Instead of bringing a lot cores they can put more power to one, therefore it got to be more powerful than 8-core where is no space for that. Iphones are also great with battery performance, makes one think why there are so many cores and ram in android ones.

Its a good thing that apple can improve their chipset year by year but after some point i belive its not realy necessary. You will hardly see any differnece between the 7 or the 8 on daily use because ios is well optimalized. But stronger chipset will cost more and i can clearly see the price tag of 1500euros. Everybody is complaining about the price of the s8 duo this days but noone does about the allways expensive iphones (which already coast more than 1000euros for years now) and its realy anoying.

Wow! 20.2:9 aspect ratio. Taller than S8. You go Apple! Burn down all the android! You are the best fastest greatest smartphone in the world! Waiting for this baby to arrive.

I've been an android user since about 2011 and last year decided to try switch to the iphone 7. Sure the ecosystem and os (ios10) are nowhere near as good as Android's, but the performance and quality of the device (speakers, camera, cpu speed, display, battery life, etc) are all top tier and get far to much undeserved criticism.
If Apple is able to work some magic and bring the os to the modern day by offering their users more flexibility in regards to customization of their user experience with ios 11, things will become quite interesting in the mobile market.

Probably fake, but the truth is likely similar. Current iPhone 7 itself runs rings around Galaxy S8.

Anonymous, 26 Apr 2017Except for iPhone fanboys, no one cares. IOS is obsolete by... morelol... thats true for android devices. iPhone 5 run smoother than galaxy s8 (yeah s8). Specs for android to make android phone costly. Do some searching and open your eyes. BTW galaxy s8 not even symmetrical.

If this is thrue I am certain that no Android phone will manage to come even close to this score even in 2018. I don't see any SOC in the works that could... And it is quite depressing... so when new iphone 8 comes out it will have 2.5 times faster single core and 40% better multicore performance than any Android platform phone... Pathetic...

"Apple's focus on creating the most powerful mobile chipsets hasn't taken a hit over the past year or so, while developing the iPhone 8," well this is news to me. I always thought their CPU's were optimized to run iOS that's why they were able to beat Android all these years on these kinds of metrics, didn't know they were actively aiming for it though.

Literally, i got goosebumps after seeing the Single Core Score of A11 which is around 1000 points more than A10 whereas Snapdragon 835 recently crossed 2000 mark for Single Core Score test with much difficulty.. phew... Definitely, its a long way to go for Qualcomm to reach the score of A11... Hats off Apple.. (y) (y)

Anonymous, 26 Apr 2017Except for iPhone fanboys, no one cares. IOS is obsolete by... moreHave tou heard about speed tests? The s8 is already quiet far behind the current iphone, let alone the benchmarks. Also many popular android vendors copies the ios design languages, yet you still calling ios design obsolete? Your arguments are invalid.
