They should make two versions OP5 with 5.2" FHD (6Gb ram) and OP 5T with 5.7" QHD (8Gb ram). There is really high demand for small form factor good phones. I wish they should also launch X series 250 dollars phone with direct competition to Moto G5 plus. It would be a instant hit as I am sure one plus can anyday make better phone that Moto at less price.

Looks closer to Oneplus One and 2. I like it better than the 3 and 3T's design.

As always, the dual cam doesn't look too pretty but there is the rule "function over form" and if it looks like that, I wud b ok with it.

Also they achieve relatively good battery life not by any form of serious optimization but simply by cutting features from the hardware or the software.
Iphone/IOS cuts most forms of background processes (castrating the OS by a good degree), Samsung minimized the hardware abilities, by not allowing as many apps in the background (minimizing Ram's worth), uses lower resolution by default (FHD+) *and* not running the CPU at its full capacity by basically running a very conservative scheduler which delays the CPU from ever reaching peak performance.
Both are a disaster. One makes the IOS (as an OS) weaker as it kills true and deep multitaking. The other is basically a scam, as you buy top hardware only to find out that it works half of the time because if you put it in "performance mode" your phone's battery life would had been terrible.
Having 4000 MaH is the obviously better solution as it needs no concessions, as a true flagship certainly should never make. OnePlus should "never settle" so I support adding big battery as well.

This looks fake tho. It looks exactly like the op3t black but the camera was duplicated and stretched/paste at the bottom and became dual. The position of the keys and etc are all the same as op3t

OnePlus 3 owner here :) And after the launches we had so far this year, only two devices could make me upgrade: either Nokia's future flagship (because nostalgia) or the iPhone 8 (but that very much depends on the price). I'm not biased towards either Android or iOS, I just want the device to work. I barely customize. However, there's another factor to be considered. After the OP5 launches, will OnePlus drop support for the OP3(T) like they did on the OP2 after OP3 was launched? Because then I will deffinitely upgrade. And it's not about running the latest and greatest Android version or having the latest security patch. It's about bug fixes. For instance, after the latest 4.1.3 Oxygen OS update, I encountered bugs with the clock/alarm app. It didn't ring, got me late for work. At first I figured I was just too tired and didn't hear it. So I figured I'd set multiple alarms next morning. Guess what? When I tried setting up the second alarm, the app would just crash. Tried 3 times then gave up, reset the phone and it "fixed" things. But it's deffinitely a bug and it's bound to come back and haunt me eventually so I hope they fix it. And before anyone says "you could install a 3rd party clock/alarm app, because Android is all about openness and customizability", I know that. But I paid for this device, and it's supposed to work. I'm not supposed to fix things. In Android, I should go 3rd party (apps, roms etc.) because I want to, not because I need to. Rant over :))

So yes, phones should be upgraded each gen , but sadly they often ain't.
At least this one will feast on $1000 phones performance wise, showing once again how simple it is to make a fast phone (trim the fat, add more ram; pretty much the opposite that Samsung does).
