Based on this and several other hands-on short reviews I have read, it seems that SONY still has yet to get it right. The XZ Premium is still not totally competitive with the iPhone 7 or Samsung 8. The camera is still not where it should be, and the screen is a wash out in bright sun because it isn't bright enough. Damn you SONY! what does it take to get it through your head that you need to focus on getting the basic right and skip the tricks until you have the right stuff. 4K is useless and worthless. 960fps is an utterly worthless trick. PlayStation remote is needless and worthless. Dinosaurs in the picture is needless and worthless. These are unnecessary gadgets that do nothing but make the phone cost more but add nothing to value or performance. Nobody really cares about these frivilous features. SONY, can you please give us an awesome camera, a brighter clearer screen, and better audio? Good enough is just not good enough anymore when the competition repeatedly hammers you year after year. What will it take for you to "get it" SONY?

Target profit for next year is 5.2 billion the best ever in 20 years for sony since 1998 (the first PS1 come)...... because of the recovery of image sensor business after earthquake last year... and targeted most fone will use dual camera so each phone additional 1 sensor...lollllll wake up..... sony is catching aplle n samsung...

So at the end of the day iphone takes better photos to work on.

AnonD-226698, 03 May 2017History has proven that perception is stronger than reality... moreI have taken pictures at a wedding with my Z5 for professional work so yeah, I can tell you that natural photos are much easier to work on.
remember it's not the camera that takes a good photo, it's the photographer. So put me behind an 100€ phone and I will take better photos than most smartphone users, simply put.

only fan boys will say Sony is the winner here. I personally using 6s+, but admit Pixel and S7 are on par with mine, even G6. they both have pros and cons.
for Sony, its just a 'nice try'

Iphone really loses out especially the SHUTTER LAG!!!WHY APPLE FIX IT!!!and also the colour reproduction is not accurate.
My next phone would be SONY unless apple comes out an amazing phone that has good cameras.

The XZ Premium capture more punch colors and the color is more realistic, you may see the foliage as example, the foliage is as green as natural in that whether conditions , while iphone 7plus capture yellowish foliage.

the sony is better in almost every way most notably and most important color accuracy.
