Noone actually checks this data, so it's sure to be blown up. In actuality Apple would be happy to sell even a fraction of what they claim to have sold. It's just a lie, one of the many they use to trick people buying their overpriced, made in China crap.
But, if Sony are going to go with them, they really will fall very, very low .... Not to mention, like others commented, how shamelessly Apple will exploit Sony's achievements.

Well being honest Sony do make decent Cyber shot range of products however.....although the NEW Iphone 5 has many packed features.....I am eager to wait for a few weeks and see how the reviews are as Iphone is meant to make the bear minimal (ie Phone calls) especially the current model with it's anntennagate issues!

the iphone always had a lowsy camera , why not have sony design a 8.0 megapixel camera , for those who dislike the camera on the x10 it requires a litte knowledge of camera usage and takes wonderful pictures i have taken several thousand photos with my xperia x10 , and the arc and the xperia play , a sixteen megapixel camera would bring this phone to another level in my opinion , but would have to be bulkier, why not a 8 megapixel camera with a led flash and 1080 p video recording , i feel that sony ericsson in the future will release a high end camera phone and why not have to wonderful phone makers come together and design a product that takes great photos it will improve sales for the iphone

I agree i think that iphone 4gs/5 will match the galaxy s 2. but with a smaller screen. i would like a 3.7 - 4.0 screen but i dont whant the handset to grow much, just the screen to go from edge to edge.

plus, the camera news got leaked, who knows which company produced what part of the phones up until now, & all they did was create a market gimmick & get people to buy their phones like hot cakes, when in fact, they're not even cakes! lol

C'mon guys it is just business and now every company is producing components for others like AMOLED is supplying by samsung to a number of companies similarly Sony is supplying S-LCD to HTC and other companies.
I think its shame to apple that now it has to accept the Sony's potential :)

I think the camera in iPhone 5 will be worse that the new Xperias' one. I just can't believe that Sony is so stupid to make better cameras for Apple.

I wish SE could follow their successful K800i at that time and develop superior cameras. In my opinion the SE Arc's camera looks at times inferior to that of X10. The colors are less vivid and it seems darker. I think that even Samsung cameras are superior to Sony these days. Which is a shame considering that Sony has been a leader as far as mobile cameras went (at least amongst popular electronics companies).

a camera without a Xenon flash isn't adequate .. i mean 5 8 12 Mpx all are equal at night if there is no flash supplied ... the only exception is the N8 due to its 1.83" marvelous sensor

Great cams on SE phones and have no doubt these one will be one of the best on the market.
Being an amateur photographer and user of a DSLR Nikon cam I have to remind you that there can be cams with higher mpixels but mega pixels aren't everything. Like high mpx nokia cams who ruin all by to high photo compression.
I have to say I have long used my K810i and it has a 3.2mpx stunning camera and lens are only slightly marginal than the Carl Zeiss ones so...If there was any doubt on Sony Ericsson cam quality, now there is nome.
