Anyways my friends, As my point was stated, I don't think the S8 or S8 + has done enough to tempt me to buy it, So I shall save my money for the Note 8
Which I hope will come with:
4K screen and HDR would be good
Exynos 8995 or SD 835 which is probably a dead cert or 9 series.
Im hoping 6GB RAM or a timely 8GB RAM as Note 8.
Improved SPen software.
4000 MAH Battery
IR Blaster would be good.
High Speed wireless charging
Stereo speakers
A good set of AKG earbuds.

Install any apps that can show all the stuff running in the background and there will be dozens of things. My current note 4 has 3GB of RAM and it reguarly has less than 1 GB free and frankly runs slowly and with issues all the time pretty much. So two plus years on 4GB is pretty much entry level to my mind and that is not accpeptable on a flagship phone that is currently just about the most expenisve phone you can buy. Then just to run salt in the wounds Samsung sell a 6 GB variant in some markets. They even have a mid range phone (C9 Pro) that they proudly boast will run better for having 6 GB of RAM. Then just to cap it all we have people in these forums trying to defend it!

I just gave him a detailed explanation why 4GB cannot be enough and his only counterpoint was "this is BS" , I mean that's enough of an explanation. If you can't detail a position you're most possibly in the wrong.
Either that or he uses like 3 or 4 apps max, which makes him an eccentric.

You're right, unused ram it useless ram, if you get even one app to reload then your phone is already operating over capacity and I *bet* you that even yours does.
People go into settings, see their "free" ram and think that anything they have opened only used so little. Actually Android is very aggressive when it senses that it is low in resources, which is pretty much most of the time in 4GB phones, and starts dropping assets from memory left and right. That's wasteful because you have to reload them back, it takes time and resources.
So yeah it may be a waste for you, for 99% of the people it isn't (especially those that use the big 4: Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and Snapchat, that eat ram like crazy).

To those saying Hong Kong and China are the same couldn't be more wrong. Hong Kong is exactly 99 years ahead of China, might have something to do with the 99 year lease to the British otherwise, yes, they probably would be the same today.

It's really the single biggest difference in performance in the longest time. It makes sense too, one allows 2GB of free ram and the other 4GB ... that's doubling the effective ram. With apps like Facebook and messenger using up to 400MB when in the background you are *forced* to need more Ram sooner than later.
As it stands , using just 6 or 7 of the most popular apps of today can lead to depletion of RAM , that in turn means that 4GB phones reload *a lot*, not only that, when they need to do that they kill some background app first adding an additional delay.
6GB phones reload too but as it stands now only if you push them to their absolute limits (load like 10 games at the same time), most of the times though you get your app waiting for you in the background. That makes a huge difference especially in apps where progress matters, for example a game where you do not have to reload the save file, or a navigation app where you do not have to recreate a trip.
I have used 4GB and 6GB phones for extended periods of time and I gotta tell, while the best cameras are almost exclusively on 4GB phones I can't bear myself returning to that experience. The difference is so visible that none would ever do.
At this point Samsung is milking with terrible consequences to the end experience and that's just a fact, better not support her unless we are paid from her.
