Have tried the s8 and s8+ at the store, the two phones looks futuristic. S8 is a bit small while s8+ is better. But when comparing s8+ with note 5, note 5 looks more beautiful. Just personal opinion.

A Shame,to rest of the World,Sammy is Discriminating. Chinese are more than 2Billion, have a Craze of Bigger Rams. At the same time We also Pay and collectively supersede . 6gb is now standard One plus, half the price. It should be available all over World.Just Boycott,and see results within a week. Otherwise Rot in Jealousy!

My point is that most of your cons are things that make no difference to the phone experience, appearance or performance. Complaining about 577 ppi vs 529 is sil ly. My S8+ screen is noticeably better than my wife's S7 despite this.... better whites, better sunlight etc.
Benchmarks are another thing that are totally overrated. Great if your a teen who wants to impress his friends with the "baddest" phone... but a bit pointless as all the latest high end phones have more than ample performance.
Things I think are cons are a lack of dual cameras, the screen ratio and fingerprint location... things that actually affect the experience.

If as you say 6GB RAM won't make much difference why is it then that Samsung are making S8's with 6GB RAM??
I believe when you see the benchmarks you may have to change your words on that my friend.
As you say you have the S8+ which is an S7edge replacement yet is has a lower pixel density. Im quite correct in my statement they have not done enough to tempt me to buy one. In your own admission your paying more to get LESS!
I have been waiting patiently for a replacement for the Note 7 I should have had, The S8 I was hoping would fill the gap, It's pretty that I won't deny, But it's not offering much other than aesthetic looks over the S7 Edge.
Roll on the Note 8 I hope!

4GB vs 6GB... guarantee you couldn't pick the difference.
4K screen is ONLY important if you need VR.
PPI... guarantee you couldn't pick the difference.
Battery life on the S8+ is great. I'm getting 2 days on normal use. Heavy use is pushing 10 hours screen on.
Finger print reader should be below the camera. Its not too bad for right hand users (who hold the phone in their left hand) but would be terrible for a right hand user.

What surprises me, Is that as a Note 7 purchaser, That Samsung didn't release the 6GB RAM phone for its global market? Whilst looking very pretty the S8 has a lot of failings.
Pro SD835/ Exynos 8895, Infinity screen
Cons, 4GB Ram for everywhere outside of Asia!!!
No 4K screen,
PPI worse than S7 Edge,
Fingerprint reader in the most bizarre place
Battery life down on S7 edge
Hopefully Note 8 will rectify all this? Still i wonder if Asia will get an 8GB ram version and all the rest of us discriminated people can have a 6 GB ram version........

If you don't buy the 4gb version, you'll end up with even worse other choices.

It must leave quite a bitter feeling to buy such an expensive device, knowing that it actually has a better version being sold in another country. Samsung clearly could've made all S8/S8plus units equipped with 6GB RAM but no. Gotta get those profit margins.

Dearest knowledge seeking enthusiasts.No doubt that hongkong is a province in China too!Very important too that China Telecom must prove releasing of any products Made in China!!Also 4 billion dollars of Note 7 losses must be compensated by users though uncle Samsung is going to do some repairs on N7 and offer it to the markets again!!!O.K.As I mentioned S8 and S8+ are being sold in many markets $750 and $850 respectively !!!However some very greedy retailers are selling them $1800+ through illegal traffickers!!!Who is responsible!!!?Please read my comment on gsmArena review to S8+ find out who behind the curtain is!!!From the same illegal source which likes to show it has fakedaabnormal relations with gsmArena,I have received 7 malware spam spyware for stopping me following the factwriting!!But Justice Rights.Omid12Omidvar has proved that no brands or faked entity can stop factwriting....
