W... morenope, your wrong. faster processors dont mean higher battery consumption. A general example of this would be intel core 2 duo which is twice as fast as a pentium 4 processor and yet consumes 3 times LESS power.
Whats wrong with current processors ?? then whats wrong with intel 8085 in your pc??
can you record full HD videos with your n8 even though its capable of doing the same ?? can you playback 1080p videos? can you browse the web without lagging ?? can you play high quality games ? can 680 mhz processor ever support a higher resolution (say wvga) ?? or is nokia going to make only nHD symbian devices forever ?

Saying that you cant customize an open sourced software is self contradictory.
Learn programming and you can do it yourself. Even if you dont know programming, still you have tons of custom ROMs, patches and themes to pick from. ANdroid is actually the most customizable OS out there.

Wouldn't a faster processor use more battery life and need a higher mAh battery? which would cost more i am guessing.
Whats wrong with the current processors ?
Symbian is just software it can be corrected patched or updated.
The current processors they are using for Symbian seems able to handle the operating system with a couple lags but that's with heavy usage and multitasking.
I am willing to read valid points as to why or where Nokia has there faults but it is annoying when the only reason people don't like Nokia is because " er. . . its Dumb me want phone go fast fast " .
Now i sound like a Nokia fan boy which makes me want to type out this comment again

It gives Nokia a head start on all other companies, as it can create software exclusive for it's handsets that can overcome any shortcomings that the vanilla versions have.
If you've seen what their own Beta labs can do, it's going to be a very exciting time for Nokia.

In 2008 Nokia launched Nokia 5800 that was a new standard to mobile industry audio quality, not to mention that it was the first all-in-one smartphone aimed to the mid-end market.
In 2010 Nokia launched N8 that brought alot of great multimedia features never seen together on a mobile phone: 12Mp camera with Xenon flash, HDMI output with Dolby Digital encoding, USB On-the-go, FM Transmitter.
So.... well... I don't really agree with you.

Huh! This phone is a crap. Just look at that! Almost same old design. I think Nokia Lacks new designs for its phones! They can not innovate new shapes. It should take examples from Samsung and revolutionary LG! N8, C6 01, C7, C5 03, E7, C1 00 and now this phone. All have common shapes up to extents!
Comm on, bring something new!
