Yani, 08 Apr 2011+1 Rating!
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Very good... morehey thanks...
really? well i cant wait for nokia to announce something like that..
and i hope their future OS (whatever it will be) would be more innovative and would really be able to keep up (or even go beyond) with the current mobile OS' has to offer.. Nokia was able to maintain that supremacy during the "black&white screen" era of mobile phones. they always offer the best packaged user-friendly handsets in the market before, and no one was able to keep up with their pace...
but now, the technology's pace is way too exhausting for them to keep up so their taking the "slowly but surely" way... unfortunately.. users don't have the time to wait for them(nokia) to achieve their lap when someone has already crossed the finish line...
in the end.. this race of technology benefits the consumers.. we're the ones who gets to taste the fruit of their battles... and thats the best part of it... =)

hmm.. well the &q... more+1 Rating!
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Very good post!
OnTopic:
I think Nokia is going to announce that they are going to literally kill support for Symbian.
I heard they changed their mind and are going to close source it again, whilst killing any future enthusiast developement from whackos like in this comment's section that think Symbian is going to live forever. Well it's NOT and neither is iOS, Android, WebOS,...

hmm.. well the "lacks" would really depend on the "needs" of a user. so if ur asking me what it lacks, il give you my personal opinion based on my personal "needs"
1.Fast web browser that doesn't hang, supports flash, and view web pages completely as how it is in pc..
2. A very progressive and entertaining app store.. (Ovi store..?? cmon, it doesnt even comes close to Android market or iOS' app sotre)
3.good looking user interface filled with nice looking interactive widgets (not just rectangular boxes with some icons inside)
4.true meaning of Multi tasking.. where you can toggle different functions at a time and of course No Hangs...(not just opening every app u have and seeing it dont hang)
e.g. Playing a game while listening to music and at the same time downloading, installing 5 or more apps (with no worries in recieving my push emails)...
5.Phone book contacts synchronized with All of my social network contacts.. imagine a contact containing saved numbers(default phone function), includes all of his info and profile in facebook and twitter accounts..so when u view that specific contact, not only "send sms/mms or call numbr" are the options, you can post on his/her wall, access his/her pictures, etc... everything in just one phone book..
man.. theres still a lot more.... but im already tired of typing...

But 3D screen in mobile is still new even samsung and apple is not hasting to deliver 3D screen. They are waiting for market and cosumer to accept this feature. I believe it's still early for mobie to have 3D screen. Hell even 3D screen on tv market is growing. And full HD video recording, for me i don't think it's that necessary for mobile phone to have it just yet. It's my personal opinion so don't take it hardly..

I don... morei am no nokia hater...and i didnt call u a fanboy... used to be a fan myself before.. and unfortunately, one of ur so called stupid nokia phones was one of my favorites. i used to own n97, and i used to love it... its hard drive rocks..i was able to put all of my favorite movies in it.
i am just that disappointed that after tasting android os and ios, nokia and symbian could've been in par with them at the present....but no, for i dont know what reason, nokia chose the long way before reaching what could've been reached months/years before...
and im just hoping that symbian will be able to keep up with the lot.

Hehehe... moreSo all your argument is call me a fanboy. Way to go.
I don't need to prove you that I have nothing against phones from other brands and that there are couple of Nokia phones that I find stupid (C5-03 and N97 for example). If I say that a phone is stupid is because I have reasons to think so, quite opposite of you and all Nokia haters.

Sure the HTC Desire HD is SO much better. With it's giant screen using pre-historic LCD technology even with extremely poor sunlight visibility, terrible camera and video-recording performance, terrible battery life, cheap audio quality.
Yep, such amazing phone.

AnonD-4487, 06 Apr 2011Nokia gives what consumer expect. Even though they don't co... more- "Nokia gives what consumer expect."
Consumers expect today a refined touch experience, a lively marketplace and powerful hardware, which Nokia doesn´t offer. Even if your statement was true that would be a problem, because as a company they need to surprise us and innovate ahead of our expectations.
- "Even though they don't come up with high speed processors, they give an sufficient amount of power to the device."
It depends on your needs. Still Symbian phones are way slower than Android, WP7 and iOS ones.
- "Other than that Nokia gives more stuff to consumer, which cannot be seen from any other smartphone."
I have to partially agree with that, but Android phones are leading lately in the technology front with new features.
- "very friendly user interface,"
They have the least user friendly interface. It's one of the main reasons for its downfall.
- "well balanced power supply and consumption and thus a long lasting battery,"
Apart from the already old E series, they have weak batteries and average operating times.
- "useful apps,"
They have the weakest app store of all.
- "smooth multitasking ability"
It's not so smooth. It hangs and lags.
- "super displays like AMOLED"
They have the lowest resolution displays, so they give you the worst productivity.
- "excellent cam features and quality with flash,"
They did good with N8. Every other model is mediocre at best.
- "very good telephony,"
That one is old. In 2011, every maker does that right. Get over it.
- "capable in hard using,"
If you mean they are resistant to falls I might agree with that, but I don't drop phones when I test them, so I can't say for sure.
- "What else do consumers expect."
Better CPU/GPU/RAM.
Better battery.
Better screen resolution.
Friendly touch experience.
Fast and reliable OS.
Much better marketplace.
Slimmer models.
Full HD video recording.
3D screens.
...
- "If they wanna play high end games they'll go for a console or a pc. smartphones are not for bullshit like that."
The point of smartphones is you can do almost anything thanks to the software available. That's one of the reasons why people buy them.
- "Nokia hasn't got any complaints regarding signal issues and call drops yet. Its a disgrace to have such problems and still make SMART phones...Isn't it?"
You can say the same about other makers, wich doesn't make anyone nº1.
- "Many other smartphons have limited their specs. Like no flash, no 2nd cam, poor loudspeaker quality, poor battery power, some have no card slots, too big (not handy), no radio.....etc".
The new and expensive Nokia E7 doesn't support microSD cards and is big too... the thing is Nokia doesn't make "perfect" handsets neither. Who does?
It's about getting the best combo for you. If a high resolution screen, a powerful hardware, a fast and reliable OS or a good collection of software are your needs, you are better getting anything else.
- "So how can others say symbian is old old old...??? with having very crucial lacks with them.... Nokia is the BEST EVER! In past, present and future."
Every maker other than Nokia dumped Symbian, it's losing market share against competitors at an alarming rate and even Nokia announced they were killing it. Think about it.
