xiaomi give users all the features from any android version without upgrading android I guess.
android is on version so why miui in on version 8 and still not uptodate with android n features

Like Mi4i, few in the Redmi series. You may talk all "You don't need Android update when you have MIUI" , but they're important. App support, new features , better base OS.

When will people understand that android version on xiaomi doesn't really matter. Everything depends on miui version, google it and you will understand how it works. And as I know, even the first xiaomi phones are getting updates, not like Samsung for example. My sisters Samsung which came with android 4.1 out of box got the 4.2 update and that's all...

You can easily judge the demand by flash sale and accordingly allocate number of units in market. Ultimately increasing sales and cost optimising the whole process.

Late update?better thant never..i know they work really hard so take your time build stable rom..hate why no microsd slot no exp battery no 3.5jack?buy a Redmi..thats why they create redmi lines when first xiaomi device doest comes with microsd

Wow! Split screen introduced in xiaomi android Nougat. Innovation! Pushing an update to put MIUI 9 on marshmallow xiaomi device just to get the new features by second half of 2017 instead of simply updating their xiaomi device to Nougat. Wow! So much innovation. I am truly speechless.

Not a hater i love xiaomi phones but they lose alot because of the late Android versions
