Looks wonderful, especially with it's 16:9 screen that screams "productivity & entertainment"! The world needs more flagship Android tablets as there are very few choices right now for the buyer.....

Jimbob, 05 May 2017Android tablets are dying fast..Android tablets is as big a market as windows laptops (in units moved). Google wants you to think that they are dying because they want to live more of their sh*tty Chromebooks.
They is a a giant hunger for android tablets that is kept in hush hush by the popular media and popular OEMS. They all play Google's game of giving the consumer what he doesn't need (chromebooks)

Windows laptops sales 2016 is around 130 mil and that with all the corporate push they are getting.
Point is that android is the best tablet platform. Yet google wants to kill it... For years now.

Buttons on tablets are a throwback. IPad solved navigation 'fore years NY making the while screen a giant button via navigation gestures. I wonder why android never baked that into it , it's probably the one thing that would make android tablets fail to fall in disuse.
I mean android is obviously the best platform for tablets but Google has given up on iot. She much prefers the locked down Chromebooks become a thing despite being much worse in just about everything.
I mean just put the Chrome OS UI on an android tablet when one attaches a keyboard and you already made a much better educational machine. One that is excellent for typing (when keyboard is attached) , far better for reading and note taking (when the keyboard is detached).
But android can't be strictly controlled by Google so we got the ancient Chrome OS and the abdonment of the android tablet experience. I mean it moves 10 times as many units as Chromebooks still, people hunger for it, but Google won't touch it. Like they are afraid of it. Probably they should be, imagine if a semi open source OS was to become part of the classroom and the growing up of kiids. How could we lock their preferences up? How could we hold business beholden to us forcing them to buy our OS now that kids was used to it?
Of course did android tablets die. They threatened that they will set people free. And we don't won't that. Our minds are too limited to let us make money in such an environment.

Aah, ICS era. With all the buttons and commands on one side. This tablet looks promising but it has to have at least a SD660 or 835 (if at least there was Exynos chipsets for other devices than Meizu's premium offerings...)
