AnonD-643330, 08 May 2017Another news from samsung s8: https://www.sammobile.com/... moreIts to snychronized exynos and snapdragon performance. One or the other need to be underclocked for this purposes. You wont want to see one chipset works better than the other would you?

My pink tint issue was concentrated on one side of my phone so when I tried to use this method one side of the display was almost blueish while the other was very warm with yellowish whites. Samsung customer service approved my return request due to manufacture defects without any fight at all.

AnonD-77443, 09 May 2017I have had Notes since the original and never had any probl... moreActually the patch is working but it's not eradicating the issue with your display because the display hardware is defective. What it's doing is recalibrating the display parameters to make the tint unnoticeable. The patch is doing what Samsung advised you to do manually by tinkering the color settings. So if you have a red tint issue, get your phone changed for a normal one.

[deleted post]I have had Notes since the original and never had any problems with AMOLED. I got a Mi Mix (IPS LCD) a while ago and returned it because of a dark patch (it showed up on colours and grays not white or black). Aside from that the LCD colours, sunlight performance, viewing angles etc were so poor even compared with my Note 4 screen (which is nothing on my S8+).

Given there are no reports of the patch not working it is fair to say the tint problem is fixed.
(Didn't have it on my S8+)

AnonD-432026, 08 May 2017I've tried doing that by using S8 guard. They refused. I'm ... moreI have that same problem in Poland.
They said it isn't a display, but a software problem. They said that Guard S8 is only for hardware, doesn't include software.
When I asked for repair and upload new software, they couldn't do it. They don't have fix for "red tint" yet.
When I asked for repair and display replacement, they couldn't do it, they don't have new displays ...
This what is happend in this case is dissapointing.
I don't recommend buying S8 until Samsung clarifies this problem.
Guard S8 is a marketing fake.
Now I have "magnificient" phone with "red tint" for 930€.
It was not my first Samsung, but probably my last one ...

I've tried doing that by using S8 guard. They refused. I'm lost for words. Samsung gurantees repair within 2h or new phone - in theory. In reality I was told I can only send it for regular repair that would take around one week and they would just change the screen.
They are all bunch of crooks and frauds - there are no other words for it.
