Damn! I wish Moto used 630 or 660 in Z² play but heck they went with 626. Anyways this iteration is not much of any appeal as they are going with only 3000mAh battery. Darn it, Lenovo :(

Looking forward to Z³ play. Hoping it doesn't suck. Till then am happy with my Z Play :)

The weird point where a mid-end chip is faster than high end ones. A bit of how SD653 was actually faster in multicore than SD820/1 last year and since GPU is irrelevant to many/most people they could get the faster phone if it was equipped with SD653...

Wow, Snapdragon 660 is awesome,in terms of CPU is on par with 821, has even better connectivity(Bluetooth 5.0) and the new QuickCharge 4.0, the single downfall of the midrange 660 is the GPU, which won't match 821, but it's still a crazy good SOC for most people. Snapdragon 630 basically will be a 625 with much better connectivity(near flagship) and faster GPU, a great SOC for lower midrange phones.

Sd660 deserves high-end ram and storage too. Maybe if OP/Nokia/xiaomi releases a midranger with sd660-4gbDDR4x-32/64gbUFS I'll buy in a heartbeat.

Wow Snapdragon 660 midranger chip with Quick Charge 4.0. What about Snapdragon 820? Really hope it is compatible to Quick Charge 4.0 :(

This is a very good news for all the mid-rangers and more. It is also nice to see that apart for the very important power improvement and better battery management, both support Bluetooth 5.0, USB 3.1 and QuickCharge 4.0. (although it is slightly mysterious exactly which devices are using the QuickCharge 4? ).
