For people asking about "kryo 280/260" differences: they are both rebranded Cortex A73 cores with none to minimal changes from stock. The 280 is built at 10nm and it is clocked higher, while the 260 is built in 14nm and lower clocked.

Q is do they cost more than 625/650 and are they better power efficiant?

AnonD-39937, 09 May 2017"660's CPU is as fast as 820/821 and the GPU should be some... moreThat's not a proof. Everyone knows that 2015 is the worst year of Snapdragon processors.

And 652 has Cortex A72 cores, the same that is in 810 and 808. So you can't use these to proof anything.

And that's why I said I'd like to see a comparison with 660.

Anonymous, 09 May 2017How you know? Citation needed."660's CPU is as fast as 820/821 and the GPU should be somewhere near 810...800/805 are slower in comparison"
last year upper midrange, 652, had a CPU overall on par with 810, but a slower GPU, on par with the one from 801...just trust me, I know what I'm saying, if you don't then wait a few months for a review of a phone with 660 ;)

What is the difference between the Kyro 260 in the SD 660 and the Kyro 280 in the SD 835?

Is 260 a lower clocked version of 280 (like they had Krait 300 in SD 600 and Krait 400 in SD 800, basically the same CPU core at higher clock speed), which itself is a pseudo ARM cortex A73.

Or is it just a rebranding of last years Kyro, which is a completely different architecture designed completely by qualcomm?

SD 660 sounds promising though. Unfortunately the likes of Samsung are going to put them in 500-600 USD phones which beats the whole point.

Really there is not much difference between Snapdragon 630 and 625... You can simply get a phone with 625 because it's going to be cheaper and provide almost the exact experience.

Now Samsung will come up with new devices using snapdragon 630 and 660 following price tag 600+ USD or around 40K. such a useless comepany. mid range phones are being priced between 30 to 40K.

                                        650 to 660 is a larger step up than 820 to 835
