In real world, that's why the Sony XZS was faster than S8 and XZ than OP3, so the Sony Xperia XZ Premium will be the fastest phone!

7 minutes for last year's 3T, 7 minutes and 40 seconds for s8 despite sending the first round being faster. All because of those freaking reloads. You're in denial and it's sad. Low ram phone with bad ram management will never be fast.

one plus should focus on feature, design, camera & battery life. Forget about performance breaking record

I find it fishy that the build date of the ROM on that OnePlus 5 is dated TODAY. You mean the ROM for the phone was built, installed, and geekbenched by some outside leaker in the SAME DAY? Highly doubtful.

'Cause I only have made mention of that on my first comment (which is the first to mention that thing) and it seems as if many have read that comment and also talked about it

Rocket, 09 May 2017No you r crazy to neglect the price to performance ratio of... moreBecause only performance demanding people will buy them.

For $400, the XZ Premium will only cost $200 more (in the future) and will have 4K HDR screen (vs 2K AMOLED PenTile trash), LDAC support, Hi-Res Audio playback, DSEE HX, ClearAudio+, Dual Front Stereo speakers, S-Force Front Stereo Surround, Qnovo Adaptive Charging (way safer than VOOC Fast Chager that will degrade battery's capacity over time), better camera (obviously), better software experience (timely updates and longer software support), and a very uniquely designed phone (looks at least different from the crowd despite the bezel size)

These are totally worth $200 extra. And take note, OnePlus is literally inexistent in markets and are only available online

It's the 835 clocked slightly higher, which is agains Qualcomm's recommendation due to a small increase in performance for a huge battery life's hit. The 835 does indeed clock higher, there just is no point to do it.

Anonymous, 09 May 2017Op5's screen will be a 2k amoled variant so you're not down... moreAs I said, Samsung's amoled is quite on a different level. We've seen other phones equipped with amoled tech from different manufacturer but no one could ever come close to how samsung implements its amoled tech that is why even if its akoled on the oneplus, samsung's offer would still be in a higher level. Well, as with the performance, milliseconds dont count as "faster" or whatever. I dont care about the extra milliseconds. I could trade those with a lot more features that you could only get at a samsung phone.

AnonD-215536, 09 May 2017I know that benchmark is pointless, so how oneplus 5 beats ... moreNo. It beats every other android in performance also. Its androids best bet against the apple's top crop. This year though, the phone that is surprising me the most thus far is the XZs from Sony. Can't believe the performance Sony have managed from the SD820. I can only imagine what they would do with the SD835.

Even that received a good snubbing in Antutu by OP3 let alone the OP3T. Forget the benchmark, after one year, the performance of S7s have markedly degraded. It doesn't feel like a flagship. The same fate awaits S8.

It would have been more savage of OnePlus if they were to price the 256 GB + 8 GB RAM spec combo for $449 'cause if so the OnePlus 5 would have been more than just a beast, a flagship killer, or even out of this world but more like out of this universe

This means these records are just a crap and we will have to wait for real life comparison. And I'm sure that only a field where oneplus beats anyother phone is the price and nothing else.

Samsung p... moreI think you never able to afford a S8 to try it out with an exynos model to check its capability ... if you don't agree with the benchmark then do search some speedtest between Oneplus3 and S8 (exynos). The only factor that attracts everyone is the cost of phones and if they sell their Oneplus5 above $700 than no one agree to buy it against Samsung and Iphone or other trusted brands. And S8+ battery is way better than Oneplus3t and comparable to S7 edge if not better
