people dont realize that sony focuses on practical quality meanwhile samsung tries to attract consumers via looks.
People think the memory readout is just there for sure it actually makes a big difference on a lot of things.

FYI the XZ Premium have 19MP is compare to 12MP iphone 7 plus, that means 7MP more details can capture, that's why the iphone 7 plus capture image washed out and lost more details.

Apart for the super huge bezels, mainly, and secondary as the article stated, the big question mark is about the battery life. Having said that, the XZ Premium is an excellent top flagship phone, full of the best 2017 specs and even some innovations.

Especially about the camera... first out all negatives, then conclude its overall good... for fans.
As opossed to some else.... first conclude its surprisingly excellent, then add the negatives only in post scriptum.
The wording effect difference on readers is mesmerizing.

I don't see any softens image on both, but iphone 7 plus can't capture the enough color especially when zoom in the image, it is quite pale.

If Sony had saved this for IFA like Z5 Premium, Note 8 could shadow it.
Note 7 was really great before all those problems.
Maybe there will be XZ1 and XZ1 Compact ... Both with imx400 and powered by 835.
XZ1 with 5.2" Full HD and same 2900 mAh.
