Anonymous, 14 May 2017My S7 for me is the maximum size for a phone, I use it toge... moreI held in my hands a Galaxy s8 in a shop nearby, and it feels slimmer than my s7 but awkwardly tall, same thing with the Lg g6. So I will still stick with my s7, 6s and zuk z2.

Nothing smaller? The ideal screen size depends on your usage. If you use a phone for calling, or have small hands, 4.3-inch is awesome. If you do a lot of document management like I do, I like a 5.5-8 inch screen. There are not a huge deal of choices in this poll.

Bigger si always and of course better. As long as it fits to hold i don't care, but it has to be cramped with the best tech

5.2" with on screen buttons is best IMO if you regularly use your phone one handed. 5" if nav buttons are below the screen.

If you mainly use your phone two handed then then it really depends on how big of a device you are willing to carry.

Anonymous, 15 May 2017This poll reflects the current market pretty well: it doesn... moreThis is exactly the problem though. Just because something isn't available, doesn't mean people don't want it. And later, phone manufacturers could look at this poll (especially given that it's on a big site like GSMArena), and think, well hey, nobody even wants a phone smaller than 5.2", we sure won't bother anymore at all!!

Loving the 5.3" of the LG G5! Had the Nexus 6 before this and while media looked awesome on it, it was impossible to use one-handed... Let the jokes commence :)

5.5 or higher shoulf be fine by now. Remind that nowadays people are getting smarter by not putting their smartphone on their jeans pocket, more people realize its radiation if they put it close to their upper legs for too long. Tradition changes over years. I used to put in my sling bag, it would be more comfort for the phone and me.

Phones are in your pocket 70% of the time, so smaller phones are better for everyone. Unless you wear a fanny bag or briefcase all the time.

My phones range from one 4.5", one 4.7", four 5", one 5.3", one 5.5", and two 5.7". It looks like "5 is the most common screen size for me that I have grown accustomed to during the last three years. But honestly, I really don't mind 5.3" or 5.7". I am typing on my V20 right now with SwiftKey at the largest size and love it.

I remember having a Sony PSP fat for years and used to put it inside my pocket with a hard plastic case on. I recently got a second hand PS Vita slim just to play some old PS2 classics on the go and it is thicker and longer than any of my phones. I grew up in the Nintendo Game Boy and Sega Game Gear era which were YUGE!

I really don't have a preference with screen size anymore since I rotate between 3-4 phones with different screen sizes throughout the day. But for texting, definitely 5.3" or higher. And no curved display. It sometimes isn't about the size but the actual quality of the phone especially in software.

The S7 edge would be my favorite if the software wasn't so laggy and didn't have that annoying curved display. I can't believe a PSP Vita from nearly 5-6 years ago with only a 1 GHz quad core CPU and 512 mb RAM has smoother software than a S7 edge and can type faster on it which only has a 5" screen.

They say in horse racing, it is the horse that makes the name great. Not the other way around. In phones, it is the quality of the actual phone. It shouldn't be judged mostly from the screen size.
