So Samsung has announced that they will upgrade Bada OS to Version 2.0 in 2011.
Bada also plans to have over 10.000 Apps shortly.
Outside Samsung Market there are a lot of Java Apps(Jar)can be easily downloaded (in m.getjar.com, for example.

main disadvantage
1) 1.2 upgrade not a... moredude i have wave II , i m frm india , have bada 1.2 in it, i have done 3 firmware upgrades in the past 3 months online thru Kies and hav a Ymssngr app also , hav dwnloaded some amazing games thru app store, hav almst evry necessary app that an android can provide (xcept skype) ,
which world r u livin in mate , wake up...!

Anonymous, 11 Apr 2011I want to aware peoples that BADA doesn't support VOIP i.e ... moreah so its bad because it doesnt let you make free calls..., and you dont think the network providers are aware of this and get the manufacturers to adjust things to suit themselves

bada os is good
main disadvantage
1) 1.2 upgrade not avalible india.
2)no skype or yahoo massenger support,3)small quantity apps....
4)no online firmware upgrade

bada is just to slow and samsung just keep promising on new thing too early, cust just waiting..and keep on waiting. here in most asian countries...still don't have 1.2 and now keep promising on 2.0. what are they thinking? please fast...u are too slow!

hae.......... samsung.plz stop on 2.0 & do every thing you can. to provide maxi mum free apps(commonly available in other os) and it will make a good future to bada mobile phone else all other brands are providing windows 7 and andriod like samsung and your future will be dark!!!!!

BADA somehow looks and feels like android,,,the UI on samsung wave is similar to those found on android phones...but its nice

What aboout the existing Wave users when are they gonna get the firmware update of BADA 2.0.
This is the biggest reason why I didnt bought Wave s8500, because I knew the capability of samsung in terms of providing updates.

I bought the S8500 a few days after its release and i was very satisfied with it and i was a proud supporter for a while but now nearly a year later i still didnt get the 1.2 update or any update for that matter. now im completely fed up with samsung and bada the only reason why im still using it is cause i havent got enough money for a new phone im never getting another bada or samsung device ever again and im pretty sure im not the only that feels like this about it

Hello everybody....i've seen lots of people give any comments in this news.
For everyone loves BADA:....good positive thinking, only in 1 year, Bada 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and now 2.0, Sammy had a lots of progress for BADA. In 2010, see any people give a big appreciation for S.Wave 8500.And then becoming a breaktrough smartphone with an independent OS. And now after 1 years, Sammy've been produced from low end - midhigh end (S.Wave II 8530 ). So we must support Samsung to do the best thing to develop Bada 2.0, so makes others competitor see the good progress too!!!
For everyone've been dissapointed of Bada : See what about Android had done after Cupcake's born, only Google G1 they could produced. Other vendors helped Google to create the same phone, like HTC Magic etc. So if u wanna be an objective person...please give us the objective comparison too.Don't comparing these things with many different variables and condition such as " DEVELOPMENT PROGRESS comparing with YEARS or DEVELOPING PROGRESS with many VENDORS.
Samsung creates Bada for their livings, to give us a new expiriences in IT world, that we can use this operating system not just a propiertary system, but for answer the next IT. they said, this OS can be used from low end until high end models form Samsung handset. So they've been created a big potensial OS. Everybody can use it. Not just like iOS from Apple, see..... what about the price? And see what about the technologies after we compared with Samsung Galaxy S or Galaxy SII.
So please see the big concepts of Bada.
I've been used Galaxy S S.Amoled for 1 years, i like it. But after i'd seen the presentation of Bada OS 2.0, i thought that Sammy has been seriously to develop Bada. So give them a big appreciation. Ok
