It's funny how DxOMark always has the score of HTC devices, even before the device is unveiled, with possibly non-final software. It seems fishy.

But I have to say HTC 10's camera was superb and with these specs, it might be the next king of photography.

Definitely well done to HTC (U11) and absolutely keep it up.

Who cares if it has an incrementally better camera on paper. This phone looks dated, ordinary, with huge bezels. I don't know what's wrong with HTC, it's like they secretly want to get out of mobile business.

if it has better battery life than the s8 i'll trade in my s7 edge for the U11. sound, screen and battery life are what drives my purchases. so far sound is above the s8, screen will probably be below, and so we're left with battery life. Software side the U11 will be stock like which i'm fine with, however the Grace UX on my S7 Edge is pretty damn nice (good job samsung, you finally got you're design language down). I might miss Grace UX, I might not.

Anonymous, 16 May 2017Because iphone is not top 7? lol they couldnt. htc has explained that they do not have a display division like LG and Samsung and because their sales are not that high, it is too expensive to get such displays from LG and Samsung. The overall cost of the phone will skyrocket as a result.

They are in the process of researching their own displays if im not wrong.

Every new flagship phone that comes up tops the DxOMark chart. It's just a PR device for phone manufacturers and should be ignored.

Ask yourself, how is it that the day a phone is announced DxOMark already has had the chance to test it? Because they work directly with the manufacturers to give them the results they want and try to spin the PR on the camera performance, before independent reviewers get to weigh in.

Eventually independent reviews come out and some phones turn out to leave up to the bogus DxOMark hype, but many don't.

Hoping Note 8 will finally have a killer sound capabilities. We also need a real good selfi

People from dxomark are photographers. Of course they know more than journalists.
Go check their website. They explain how tests are performed.

Sammy boys are angry because only Note4 ended up leader so far. Back 2014. S6 and S7 could not make it. Same for S8.

                                  Iphone is behind 14 devices and will never lead. ( htc u11, pixel, s8, s7, s6, s6e+, xz, x, x perf, z5, moto z force, htc 10, huawei p10, note 5 )

Both should thank dxomark because they seem to test only rear cam. Front cam would lower the score.

I understand where you are coming from on the trust issue, but they did previously rank the Pixel as the highest and that has proven to be one of the best phone cameras for sure (if not the best). We'll see on the HTC U11 though. I definitely want it to be true. Looks like a nice phone. I think what you get for $650 with this phone, they've done a nice job (vs what you get for $650-700 with LG G6 or $725+ with G8 or cough cough $650 with iPhone).
