i like the front design but in back it looks like china phone. Im happy that i bought Sony xperia xa1.. it has solid performance

Back of the Phone design was copied from HTC Vive. But the Vive looks nicer and the back was for the Antenna bands.

Been waiting ages on these two phones but the prices are far higher than I expected! They've bumped up the cameras to mimic the A5 with 13mp front and rear....not sure that the J series was ever targeting that type of consumer though, seems an excuse to jack up the price.
I expected a fight with the J5/J7, G5 plus and Nokia 5/6, but price wise its far higher than the Motorola and Nokia. The design looks good (like A5 in metal) but 279 euros is alot for the J5. It only has a better front camera, amoled screen (with higher resolution) and 1.6 ghz octa core over the 1.4 ghz in the G5 and Nokia 5 but commands 100 euros more?! The J7 is way more than in the past.
Hoping that the J5 comes down in price like the A5 did in europe.

If it will have notification LED like Prime and more sensors, it worth buying. Otherwise, the price is similar to a3 2017, which is waterproof. Previous J series advantage was removable battery imho.
