Guess I'll never really see NOkia's Symbian somehow reach the sophistication of the Japanese symbian phones.

People talking crap about WP7 cuz they don't have one or they never used one, only speculates how bad it is by watching videos about it. Come on people still remember how other early OS were when they came out?? Remember how bad symbian was at early stages??? well??? Since I own an WP7 HD7 I am very happy with it. i own both Wp7 and an Android phone. And believe me scrolling through the menus on Android is not always that smooth even if ure cpu is ticking at 1GHZ. If u don't think to buy an WP7 device don't do and STOP acting like a 10 yr old kiddo that wants everything for themselves.

The WP7 platform has had my eye since it was first released. I'm not really loyal to any particular OS, I used Android now, but I had Blackberry for years. The only reason why I changed was for a front facing camera mostly. I think as time progresses this is going to be an excellent platform. It's going to take some time, Android wasn't perfect when it first came out, and the iOS is just now doing things that some of the most basic phones have always had. It's all about progress. Even though these announcements were for the developers, that's what makes an OS good. Android wouldn't be anything without the Apps, same with iOS. Making things integrate better with the platform as a whole as opposed to a stand alone thing I think is way better. However, I do think that they really need to take a serious look at the app menus, long lists just aren't cool. It's totally ok to use a grid format like everyone else, it's the only thing that makes sense

look at that Android. Can switch without lags and added some good features.

well, WP7 will gonna be a problem in my country, lot of people here don't have a plan. so it means, when i'm not connected on a hotspot and i'm surfing on d net using the phone, its to going to charged it on my sim's load.

Windows mobile will be pretty good once they work out the few kinks that exsist in the OS for example the lack of copy and paste that was corrected in the fear insuing update that could potentially break phones but i digress... they will overtake Android if they diversify the app market and will beat apple if they innovate in they way that Google did with android

MS needs more inovations and they are moving really slow...
Also closed platform like OS isn't gonna help them...

Pls don't be fooled by the "gadget semantics". There is nothing on offer here that hasn't already been explored by google and android.

somefolks, 14 Apr 2011From the start, I have no doubt WP7 will be huge success, a... more"android was way behind WP7 at their early age in terms of speed, stability, design, you name it...anything"

How about the the most important thing: FEATURES/FUNCTIONALITY ????

Its not as easy as you think. WP7 may/may not have been better than android 1.0, but no one cares about that. It was a totally different scenario (in comparison to the present) when android was launched. So you cant compare Android 1.0 to WP7.
WP7 was (and still is) a half baked OS. Most of the limitations shouldn't have been present. A 5 month wait for simple Copy-Paste update only makes it worse. If WP7 is to reach the 2nd place by 2014, MS really have to step up their efforts and provide fast updates and innovations.

Symbian-developers would probably have liked Android more, it is "linux" and "free", while WP7 is a produkt from Microsoft that is a company, just like Apple, that is against anything "free".

Of course iphone is good, nobody doubt it, they are the one who revolutionise smartphone. I like iphone, but I also find WP7 is very unique and refreshing, Metro UI is really beautiful, colorful, and neat. Its like having a collection of professional photograph in ur phone, something u didn't find on iOS and android with their icon UI.
Do we really need big tiles? Sure we don't but talking abut beauty and design, well nobody says no it.
Talked about speed n stability, I think this is the only OS who can match the iOS.
Just wait a year or two, we will all be surprise by WP7 achievement, I have no dubt.
                                    Thanks
