Hey guys, u remember android back in those early days? People used to criticize Android for its lackings just the same way u r doing it in the case of WP7. Now Android is almost to the top, hence does it seem that much irrelevant if I say WP7 is gonna make it to the top by 2015? Think about it. If Google is a Giant, then MS is a Monster to the least. Add Nokia to that, and it's GAME ON!!!

One example was shown here where a QANTAS app had live tiles that displayed the details about upcomming flights. An icon is static while live tiles are dynamic.

To Nokia, 13 Apr 2011bring WP7 Nokia N8 or I'll buy the Symbian Nokia N8 soon!!!You know that a WP7 Nokia is at least a year away, right? They're also unlikely to offer their exact Symbian phones with WP7, but rather produce completely new WP7 phones.

I have an N8, and it's a great phone. Buy it.

AnonD-5197, 14 Apr 2011I agree with you in success of MS, but 2011 is too early I ... moreWP7 is an infant, and really, they need to seriously sort out their priorities..

LIVE TILES? hello. do I look "visually impaired" to Microsoft? I dont need HUGE blocks with letters like "video", "music" etc. Dont they have modern, sensible designers in MS?? Haven't they heard of the word ICONs yet?? LOL

Also, I dont need tinkering with multi-tasking-- my phone is personal, and should be fun, no-brainer to use, even automatic if they can manage that. Phone does not = PC, coz PC is business, and phone is not. Phone is about people, relaxation, leisure, worry free, socialization, and entertainment.

No Live Tiles, and No "tinkering" with tech settings please.

Cod3rror, 14 Apr 2011Needs the following... Improve Text Selection, Cut, Copy... moreYou can add any shortcut on your home screen (Pin to start). You can arrange them the way you like and remove the default ones (unpin). You can add much more shortcuts too I don't even know what the limit is. Home screen is great with live tiles.

What about that Silverlight support in Internet Explorer? That's on hold for quite a while and since it's your platform, your product and your browser...it's at least strange you're not mentioning it anymore.

Windows Phone 7 is getting a lot better.. while my first preference is still Android, it will be interesting to see how the OS competition will end up a couple of years from now.

Skype is the big one for me.

It looks like WP7 will now allow socket connections which would make Skype work just fine.

Hopefully they'll launch it ASAP. WP7 has way too many limitations at the moment so hopefully in 2011 they'll address these issues and the platform can be competitive with Android and iOS.

OF COURSE wp7 will be a sucess, look at the first version of the OS, these motherf**kers are more stabile than any android ever, with a NEW interface, that do not copy the shit of the iphone interface (LOOK MY BILLIONZ APPS!), something more practical, useful, and fast, silky smooth like the popular iphone

also we have MICROSOFT behind this, all wp7 phone are directx enabled video games, and the WP7 its not so open, it has a minimal requeriment, so does not need to worry versions that run the system slowly

WP7 is between, the very closed apple, and the very open android
                                brillant!

From the start, I have no doubt WP7 will be huge success, at least it was more succesful in the launch than android phone, and talk about OS, android is way behind WP7 at their early age in terms of speed, stability, design, you name it...anything. With the MIX event MS changing direction, to give developers more flexibility with the OS, so I am sure 1000% WP7 will be number 2 in 2015 just like Gartner predicted.

Anyone who doubt MS should look at how MS conquered game industry with its Xbox and Kinect, everyone was laughing at them back in 2002 but look at them now...Huge success with title like HALO, GEARS of WARS, etc.

So what 2011 hold for MS? Huge success I'm sure.
