Sure you get timely OS updates, but rarely does anyone pay attention beyond that point. Not every individual phone is made equal, so "superior OS updates" doesn't rule out declining performance or actual hardware failure rates. It also doesn't help that Apple's customer support boils down to things out of your control being "sort of your fault".
If there is a single hairline crack on the display, out of the box, I should be able to get a replacement nothing down.
Life is not easier for independent repair services that fix iPhones, shops around me won't repair any kind of iPhone just because of the BS Apple does to make sure they and only they can dispose of perfectly usable components. Gullible people are chasing the eco-friendly dragon when in reality Apple doesn't need to recycle a milligram of silicone since it doesn't affect their bottom line.
At the end of the day, people who go outside at all just want a phone and don't actually care what brand it is. The lines at my nearest Apple store isn't that long, and New York is freaking huge, so yeah. You can tear apart this post all you like, the majority does not care about sales charts or technical jargon.

I agree. Just like how the iPhone 6 specs failed to beat the Nexus 4 which came out 2 years before the iPhone 6. I can't forget how that version of the iPhone was mocked by users worldwide. It was big news on Yahoo, Business Insider, BGR and many other news sources. Probably the funniest headline was 'Why iPhone 6 is 2 years Out Of Date-Business Insider'.
I would never give up my Galaxy S for any iPhone...not even the iPhone 10 (when it's released).

It's hard to argue that Iphone's are some of the best optimized phones around.. What they're able to do with the hardware they pack is truly incredible. With that being said i don't think i'd ever be able to fully transfer over to IOS.. i've tried many times and i always migrate back to Android. I'm rocking the Midnight Black OP3T and i couldn't be happier!

Okay, gonna switch as soon as they have an oled iphone display that can match the s8\s8+ in brightness, reflectiveness and color accuracy with vibrant and toned down screen modes. Im all about display and performance over gimmicky features 1st, updates matter a lot too.

it is true though... iOS' performance is top notch especially their GPU
and their battery life is awesome for how small is it comparing to Android
If only we can bring those two to Android lol... I guess Apple will be over then

As someone who has used both iOS and Android for past two to three weeks, Good Lord, this can't be more wrong. Life is much more complicated with iOS, end of story. iOS is something which looks simple, but actually much more complicated for basic stuffs than Android, which will eventually drive you bonkers. So after two weeks with both ecosystem it was no brainer for me to ditch the iPhone 7 and stay with my Pixel. Its an incredibly unintuitive OS iOS.

There are 2 BLATANT LIES in that paragraph:

Apple's A10 Fusion chip is NOT the most powerful. Put it in an Android device, THEN see how it performs. It is "powerful" ONLY with iOS/Apple optimisation. It's a QUAD-CORE chip clocked at 2.34 GHz ffs...
2."iPhone delivers long battery life"
LMAO. Love this.
Not hating, just spreading some FACTS. Apple's marketing can be VERY deceiving. I use an iPhone 7 myself, moving to Galaxy Note 8 because there is A LOT of things I can't do that I could on my Nexus 6P, loyal iPhone users are missing out big time... :(
