I love Nokia N8 though I've used iPhone 4. I had heard many false word about nokia but now I realize that Nokia is the best. Those who want to use a beautiful, expensive toy should buy iPhone. But who want that their phone will be really beautiful and smart should use Nokia. Waiting for Nokia windows phones, now going to buy meego based(linux) Nokia N9.

Java eats more memory and c++ directly related to system means apps can made with c++ has more system usability. Game graphics(and also experience) are better in c++.better multitasking in symbian.
Lastly more important point is for simple usage(call and message) symbian can last stand up to 3 days easily whereas you have to recharge everyday in android
note :meego is more powerful than both symbian and android

stop talking non-sense about nokia and those who love their os's so much go and have a blast of comments on your os's site and please have a look at nokia 888(a paper phone) also nokia aeon and 2 years later when it'll be released all the os's and mobile and software companies let them be apple,samsung(android,bada),sony.etc will face the worst time of their life .....................nokia rocks.......symbian rocks......dude its symbian post i can write all +ve things about symbian

I have read all the comments for symbian vs Android vs IOS.
and my conclusion says that symbian is lagging reason being , Nokia did not think to use a higher process as android start with 680 mgh process and now at 1 or 1.5 Ghz process.
Symbian OS is best in class look and performance. some one mentioned about the battery life . i and everyone should agree that since Symbian born only nokia managed to integrate the os with apps and hardware so battery life is far better then other OS (you can take any for that).
Symbian OS is capable to do anything which none of other OS can make e.g USB on the go feature. none of other os has this feature. in my opinion nokia was interested to improve the os earlier but now they are improving (i would say they started very late)coz many company and users have changed the mind coz of android. reason being android provided thefeature rather then nokia first. if nokia could have been identify and think about feature (kinetic scroling, smooth touch productive and security inbuilt apps ) and hardware (1 ghz processor and 512 RAM) no one can beat Symbian. (nokia wanted to eat money without provided the better hardware and feature to consumer so they did not tried to improved symbian. but now they relized and provided like our new Anna with X7 (1 GHZ process) and you may feel the touch no lagging smooth and kinetic scrolling faster browser. but built quality and loyalty can be find in nokia only , you throw your android phone and it will not wake again. 80%. and throw nokia it will wake up everything 90% (personal experience :D), and if nokia wants they can improve symbian still no other OS will be comparable with it but it has to be with great and higher hardware. HTC, Samsung, Sony, and company are using higher process and RAM on their smart phone long ago so there phones are faster if same hardware met with symbian you will get stability durability and feature.

Symbian Anna won't stop your phone from hanging...
it will just made you feel that the phone SW is a bit lighter :)

And being able to use the dual frequencies are great when you use t-mobile and/or a Locus O2 or Att prepaid. I don't have to travel to get the benefits of dual frequencies. Just because you don't use these features doesn't mean you should use that fact to run them down. And the phone may not be able to do videos in complete darkness but it sure can take great photos in darkness. Your LED doesn't compare. At all. Stick with things you know about (android) or learn more before typing out your uninformed opinion.

Download on the go, FM transmit. Simple and straightforward. No cables, no wires, no putting into USB drives, no burning onto a disc. Just plain old download then play. Stuck in a jam? Fire up RSS or podcast app, search for a podcast, download and stream via FM transmitter. Simple.

Just some info for you:
Radio waves (example of electromagnetic waves), microwaves, infrared, ultraviolet and visible light. They all can travel at the speed of light. It depends on the material that the waves are traveling through. Speed in vacuum is equal to the speed of light. :P

i am not trying to be Anti Nokia but the thought of having to transmitted radio waves from your phone to car just to listen to music sounds absurd. I never have had the need to do that.

and again, sgs2 is not yet released. I can also simply say the next nokia/windows phone will be better than the sgs2.
and the sgs2 version that will be MOST distributed worldwide is the I9100. at least in australia; i'm quite certain (we're technologically behind...)

so yeah great games will come, but the sgs2 won't have any of them (for the general public).
the only thing the n8 is missing, compared to CURRENT crop of android (lg optimus 2x...sgs...htc desire hd...), is the screen and 1080p vid (for the optimus).
