14 April, 2011
A big part of the Symbian^3 Anna update that Nokia unveiled on Money was the new web browser that reportedly brings improvements in both performance and usability. And the company seems pretty eager...

if you feel n8 is too old then we can compare it with e7 which was released very recently. i just assumed n8 to be the flagship because it has better specs. No one is stopping nokia from releasing great phones. probably their last true flagship was n95.

about dual cores you were saying that we'll start seeing games only after 18 months. so I was trying to say that already there are games made for dual core present, that means can expect great games to arrive in around two months time.

your right, galaxy s II i9100 which is powered by exynos wont have access to tegra zone but galaxy sII i9103 (tegra 2 version of original galaxy sII) will have access that privilege.

you can argue you can see 'bits and pieces' in the video...but that's just it...it's still useless to show anything. ergo, there's no point taking vids in the dark. i prefer taking awesome PICTURES in the dark, than taking videos that you can only see bits and pieces AND blurry PICTURES.

LED video example (wow it's super awesome...not)

        dual core games:
        1) SOLITAIRE HD wow that's awesome!!
        2) fruit ninja HD even better!!

if i want to play games, real games, i play it on a computer at home, with a good sized screen. But hey that's me. I don't think i'm missing out in playing those "HD" games. Go ahead for you and anyone else. imo,the phone's not worth it to pay... Play games on a small screen, with limited storyline/controls if you guys want. Not stopping you guys at all lol.

the fact that you're comparing the n8 with a phone that's not out yet says it all...

Insulated. Lol. Radio waves travel through just about anything, and I can bring my music to ANY car journey, wirelessly. And before you mention bluetooth, many cars don't have it.

And sorry, but LED is awful. You need two of them to actually get any decent light, and not even top of the range digital cams can take video in the dark, so your argument there is weak as well.

You're just so anti nokia, that you'll disgregard any innovations they make.

My argument is not at all unfair. You can just compare the Nokia flagship to any other android manufacturer's flagship. Say for example Galaxy SII. By the way your wrong when you said it doesnt have HDMI. It actually has MHL. Features are:

*The HDTV charges the connected device. The goal is to always keep the mobile device in a ready-to-use state.
*Uses a single, thin cable to connect the mobile device to the HDTV.
*The HDTV remote will control the connected device with guaranteed mixed manufacturer interoperability.[1]
              *1080p uncompressed HD video.
*8 channel (e.g., 7.1 surround sound) uncompressed audio.
              *Supports High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection.

I dont think N8 has an NFC chip which is required for NFC support.
Even if it does have one, just an NFC is not exactly "future-proofing" in my opinion.

FM transmitter is just useless. There are many other easy ways to listen to music in a car. So its just useless. And as i mentioned before todays cars are well insulated.

An extra freqency band is only useful for those who travel "a lot". I have never felt such a need. ANd I dont think its useful for normal people.

LED is not useless. Its good for taking normal videos and pictures in TOTAL darkness for upto 5m range. Even N8 CANNOT take videos in total darkness.

ABout dual core games, they have already started arriving in tegra zone. you can check that out.

wow do you guys realise that the n8 is a 2010 phone (q4)? and the sgs 2 is not even out yet. It's like comparing the iphone 2g with...iphone 5. That's just silly.

ok i mistook the c7 with the n8. But you should've done your homework too 'AMK' DNSe is only for music, while the dolby 5.1 is for movies too.

and fine you can have your dual core now....but i'll get my dual core in the future when it's function is much clearer (and better processors too)andddd the fact that i got my phone for 20/month (350 to call and 100mb data) good luck paying for your sgs2....

It's basically mini USB to HDMI that communicated video and charges the phone at the same time. ;) It will be available on many phones after SGSII.

His argument is weakened by the fact that he's quoting features which aren't on every phone. Symbian 3 is a new OS, give it some time and then argue against it.

HDMI port. Yep, no other device has Dolby Digital with this.

Question: So how is it possible in Android phones to have long talk times and short web browsing and music listening times?

Answer: Talk time requires less CPU usage, also screen's backlight isn't shining all the time when you are talking. Browsing, gaming requires more CPU, GPU, RAM resources also screen's backlight is always on and so on...

Also we all know that Windows XP requires less resources of CPU and RAM than Windows 7, but that doesn't mean that Windows XP is better than Windows 7. The same is with Symbian and Android OS.
