Xiaomi's sales have been dropping year over year. I am expecting less models with more focus on specific niches.

One of the biggest Achilles heel of the original Max is the LTE band support. By going with an older 625, and not a 630, they are still going to have crappy band support again.

For all those people disappointed that the phone didn't include SD660 chipset, hey it's Xiaomi we're talking about, they are known for saturating the market with dozens of phone models, so they might unveil a version with a faster SD630 or SD660 chipset later this year when those become more readily available. I myself am axiously waiting for what else Xiaomi has in stores for us!

Guess I'll have to wait for Samsung A9 Pro (2017), since Mi Max 2 is a no go for me with that worthless for gaming SD 625.

This phone's battery will last for two months. lol
I have the Note 4x and the 4100mah battery lasts me three days of heavy use, some people claim 10-12 hours of screen time.
The Mi Max 2 is a very good phone, they did not use the SD630 or the SD660 because they did not launch on time? Remember that they design the phone and the production months in advance.
For the snapdragon 660 wait for REDMI PRO 2!!! They could still launch a global version of Mi Max 2 with snapdragon 660.

AnonD-563937, 25 May 2017same here, at least give us one variant with sd660 .Yes. They put a lot of processing power and ram in the the mi 6 with a tiny display where so much power isn't needed since very few people is going to multi task in such a puny display but they put such under powered SOCs in large devices. Sad

"improved design"? Looks like an iPhone clone now. Plenty of space for front fingerprint scanner... Lame chipset. Would have bought one to replace my Note4 if it had a SD660. Now I feel it is a bit overpriced.

Naaah, Lenovo P2 is still battery king!!

Seems like a great offering from Xiaomi also it'll have insane battery life considering the specs Device looks Cool hoping for a Black version Also think that Redmi Note 5 will now come with a USB type C Fingers crossed

As a type of person who doesn't really care much about processing power and cares more about design, multimedia experience, and battery life, this phone seems like a great offer to me. I just hope it fits in the pockets lol.

I am a big xiaomi fan but this was so disappointing. First they didnt release the mi6 plus. Now they ruined the max 2 with the under powered specs. I was really looking forward to buying the max 2. Not anymore I guess
