18 April, 2011
Unless we have all slipped into a different dimension it appears that some how Adobe Flash content will start to become available on all iOS devices (without jail-breaking, hacking or any other tomfoolery)...

AnonD-619, 19 Apr 2011seroiusly guys apple devices doesn't need flash...have been... moreContradiction much? "Seriously guys, Apple devices dont need flash" then it turns into "After Jailbreaking, you can get flash on Apple products". I recall someone recently saying it wasn't necessary on Apple products. Hmmm...

You've completely misunderstood what's going on.

This is Adobe adopting Apple's proprietary format, not Apple adopting Adobe's.

seroiusly guys apple devices doesn't need flash...have been using iOs devices for 4 years now....also have have using HTC desire doesn't even noticed the use of flash....but both platforms r good in their own way,but jailbroken iPad or iPhone will always have edge over android devices even if its rooted....cuz the jailbreaking community is just HUUUUGE...never ending tons of addons and tweaks coming everyday and after jailbreaking u already can get flash....

Nope no flash for me thank you very much! It is a resource hog on any platform desktop or mobile and it is bound to be overcome by newer tech in the near future. Apart from flash video there is really nothing it can offer to the overall mobile Internet experience.

OMG,... is no one reading this article correctly?!? ADOBE IS MAKING ALL FLASH CONTENT AVAILABLE TO IOS DEVICES NOW!!! They've folded under the pressure of change. The fact that Adobe is now including a proprietary encoder for Apple with their flash engine is pure WIN for Apple. God, sometimes I swear people aren't even reading the article before they post ignorant crap.... For the record, my Iphone will open ALL OF YOUR FLASH CONTENT IN THE NEAR FUTURE!!! Thank you Adobe for being weak!!!!

Apple fanboys have always maintained that "they don't need Flash", or that "they could live without it". Well, let's see what these fanboys say next. Will they still not need Flash?

About time. HTML5 is ok but virtually everything on the net is already using flash. I think everybody having to edit their sites to work on apple products was stupid to begin with. Apple should be adjusting to them.

Sorry but HTML5 is the future and so far Opera are kicking ass on the mobile platform. Flash, just like java, is a clunky plugin; It has no place on mobile handsets

Is flash really that important? no flash for me = less ads, Youtube and many other big video sites are IOS friendly, I don't see whats the big deal about it.

More a sign of apple getting worried as android takes world wide top position and experts predicting ios to fall back to 3rd place overall. Steve Jobs has had to see sense for once and get the fundamentals like flash back on board.
