Apple sues Samsung for copying iPhone and iOS looks

It's not just apple, galaxy fit looks like an htc, galaxy mini - optimus one. Nokia phones make people go "what is that?..", samsung phones make people go "hey, it looks like this or that". Samsung does make good phones just need to be more imaginative in terms of design.

Well it seems like Apple or say Steve is afraid of Samsung...coz of its huge market share and d galaxy s2 release in d coming weeks....

Anyone who don't see any similarities on that picture is a blind fanboy who's in denial. Samsung sucks at making their own UI/software but they rock on the hardware side of things.

Oh come on...
What similarities? So Apple wants to sue Samsung, because the AppDrawer looks like the whole iOS UI? Samsung has a real homescreen, not like iOS. Touchwiz is nothing like iPhone and if people really are thinking, that the AppDrawer is the same, because of the looks, maybe Nokia should sue Apple, because their Program Menu looked like that with Buttons and all for much longer than the iPhone 2G even exists.
Ah and by the way, somebody should tell me, why the Galaxy looks like the iPhone? Because of the Touchscreen? If it comes to looks, the Touchscreen is way better than Apples and also bigger, so no similarity... OK Apple, sue everyone who created a Touchphone. Oh, you can't, cuz Microsoft created such devices before you did. So Apple really thinks that a square with rounded corners is their own? I don't think so. The lloks are totally different. I mean, Sony E. doesn't sue Nokia for similar looks of N8 to X10... The back of both Galaxy and iPhone look totally different, different Material, form, colour... so for what are they sueing, only because they are afraid, that iPhone 5 might be the last success of our dear Apple.
And before I forget it... People who say, that the Case of the Galaxy is cheap, really do not have any clue, that a Glas or Metallcase are actually nice to see, but in any other case really worse than such special plastic. Come to think of it, what might happen to an iPhone which falls to the ground and what might happen to a Galaxy... Iphone 4 can only fall on Glass, even if it is a pretty resistive glass, i saw a lot of broken iphone glass. HTCs Desire HD falls down, but because of their metall case you have huge scrathes and the tension of the impact might resolve in a broken Screen, even if it didn't fall on the screen (same goes for iPhone). If your Galaxy falls down, the created impact and the resolving tension is much smaller and so much safer this way.
So there are HUGE DIFFERENCES, ah ok, I know now, why Apple is sueing Samsung... Because they have copied the iPhones success and Apple can't have that, can they?

Do you really think apple don't know what they do? :) You think they have figured out this sue last weekend or something. I'm sure they have thinked this a very long time and figured out every aspect of it.

devices nowadays are becoming more and more homogeneous... i dont think that suing any company will solve anything.... i think apple should hunt down and sue a more direct threat to their company's name; those Apple cloned by those stupid chinese company that obviously dont innovate but only copying the physical appearance of the device.. some are even sold and priced as the original ones.. consumer buying these devices can be frustrated after using this cloned devices and can tell their experience to their friends and relatives that can put down apple's good reputation..

Sounds like someone wants to take there ball home because the match is not going the way they wan't.
Apple needs to grow-up. If they actually put some effort into there product they would not have to resort to this childish behavior.

how the hell does the galaxy s look like an iphone granted the s2 does but the s is plastic no metal, curved icons are just icons.I wish theyd just shut up and make phones

LOL! it's amusing that apple is fighting for some silly icons with rounded corners. Anyone and everyone can design it and use it. Period.

Thank god apple did not invent toilet. If so we would be still searching for trees. common if a square with rounded corners was invented by apple. what about old calculator button it was to squared with rounded edge. i inveted round i am going to sue every one who makes anything withn round shape. even if it is tyre, zero, o or anything round.

no doubt apple products are good. but apple tries monopoly in its products sale, for instance in india the worlds market capital apple lauches/dumps its stock outdated products, but electronic giant launches first including galaxy lineup. Moreover now a days each n every touch phone is having flat screen steel bezel curvy back look, honda cars have 4wheels n ABS toyota having the same , does toyota copy honda.

Lots of hypocrisy here. Why does Apple continue to use Samsung parts for iPhone and other products if it says the company is coying its design. Does Apple have to balls to call off this supply chain relationship and look for other vendors?
This is the problem with corporations in the West. They cannot or don't want to manufacture anything (for cost reasons), and then when these suppliers start coming up with competing products cry foul.

wud b probably a gud lawsuit filed against samsung they didnt also knw the meaning of "homescreen" also the touchwiz ui frm htc's htcsense......and rest the android does.........they nvr comeup with the tech first even with the tablets,dual core smart phones,etc first the other company launches this crap follows them.
