Now the sold out hoopla. Do I sense a marketing spin, one normally spinned by a used car salesman? Perhaps, current KEYone 'sold data' be immediately released to confirm if there is really a demand causing shortages!

Got mine from the limited selfridges release a few weeks ago.

Dam good phone. Robust, All the apps, heaps of programmable shortcuts, great camera, epic battery life, universal inbox and the ability to touch type.

Happy to say i'll be sticking with the Keyones form factor for as long as possible.

      Hahahaha

Now people are finding out that Android Pay doesn't work on the few KEYones that actually made it to the consumers.

      What a disaster!

You guys paid for a demo phone!

There was never any stock! Just the initial demo units that were made back in March. The delay was due to incompetence, and the shortage due to BlackBerry deciding to sell the demo units!

      Hahahaha

      BlackBerry is done.

Apparently most of stock was just online, but in a few major markets there were small quantities on hand. I don't know which markets, but I'm guessing NYC, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver?

I bought last night when it was sold out, but less than a day later I've received word that it has shipped. I think that TCL might have held some back to see what sales channels would need more stock to avoid past issues where a huge supply was give to a provider who then dumped them in the market (cough ATT with the Priv cough).

If my experience is a guide, there's hope for a rapid solution.

And just to think that in USA and Canada they love touchphones, and this keyboard phone is one of the most pre-ordered phones! It seems that everyone has missed the keyboard phones! Even the design of this is very good and actually looks like a phone, instead of just a pale device!

These phones are legenadary and should make a return with almost High-end specs at least! So, whoever wants a touch-phone or keyboard phone, they can have the choice to choose instead of now that they're essentially forced to buy a touch-phone for high-end specs!

I called and checked almost 13 best buy stores in PA, DE and NJ and I was told that best buy never received phone from Blackberry they were also surprised that why best buy site is saying sold out when these were never available in the first place. It could be a marketing gimmick to show the "high demand"

There were only 1000 units actually ready to ship in early May.

Amazon dot com USA got exactly 250 of those, and sold out within an hour.

Now it is 2-3 months before the next batch is ready.

                            This is a disaster.

I received my pre-booked unit on 23 May here in Dubai. I don't care what people say: this is one heck of a decent phone. Physical/virtual keyboards to suit all tastes. Very decent size, processor and camera. And it looks darned elegant and grand. One piece of advice - go for a transparent back cover if you can. The sides are a bit slippery and the placement of all side keys on either side is a bit of a mess. I am sure the KeyOne will not sell like a Galaxy would, but it WILL sell healthily!

Great news!!! Yesterday I was watching review and comparison videos on YouTube and from the comments I knew there's something going for the KeyOne. BB better capitalize on this because I doubt there'd be any better opportunity than has been offered them now.
