The critics part the should have given 2k display and snapdragon 630 0r 660.
We get decent specs from the moto house but i think it bit costly.

Good phone from Moto just like last year's Z Play. Nice to see the 3.5 mm headphone jack retained (and hope it's returns in the flagship Moto Z-series.
The battery is a downgrade over last-year's super-enduring Z Play, but on the other hand the rear camera is a huge upgrade. I guess, you win some, lose some. But not in case of the Moto Mods, as those seem to be going from strength to strength!

And wow, one of my dreams is fulfilled. Having stripes like on Moto X Style or Moto G3 on one of the mod shells, though it's a thicker battery mod. And the Style Shells seem thicker so the camera hump should be no problem on flat surfaces now.

Still no WiFi ac, 15% less battery, same selfie camera, minor chipset upgrade....
They have to give discount to previous gen, i.e the original Z Play. It's still the better device, IMO.
Waiting for Vibe K7 Note, Vibe X4, or Z Play 3 with better specs......

Man this looks amazing .. Camera is a huge upgrade as well as the shape .. Waiting for the battery review and how this new 626 performs .. If its around 400 dollars it will be clearly a winner here

This is really a downgrade IMO. First I was tempted toward Moto Z play cuz of big battery, second was AMOLED display both gone sounds like very ordinary phone. Should be around $300

I'll definitely be sticking with my original z play. The battery alone is reason enough not to upgrade, plus I prefer my amoled screen to lcd
