you guys are all bad! i have a xt1563 and use the india nougat update on xda dev and EVERYTHING is running fine. i live in canada btw.

is there any solution for bootlooped device?i got status 7 error when installing .my bootloader is upgraded to nougat and now im unable to downgrade to stock 6.0.1 my bootloader is locked & official firmware will take atleast 2 months to release...someone plz help.....

sai, 12 Oct 2017no guys...my moto x play is upgraded to N recently and it w... moreDear it's rolled out for 2 days only.then it's stopped.you can confirm from moto support.no update will send in future on behalf of lenovo Motorola.Those users updated withing those 2 days they are lucky.but moto support told roll out began 2nd October and now 13th oct.i didn't receive any update.and rolled out OTA update has been stopped by Motorola.Also I contacted moto service centre.they just reply in one word for moto x play nougat update and the word is "NEVER".

Guys this is a sad news for us.today I have a word with moto support.and the agent told that nougat released at 2nd Oct,2017, but 3rd oct it has been stopped roll out. Now they said no more update given .Marshmallow 6.0.1 that's it. X play does not receive any update regarding nougat in future.guys last one year lenovo moto just playing a game with us.

First Motorola waa cheated by his moto x play users.some moto x play users received Android nougat update and some didn't received.If they released the update then every moto x play should received the update.but when I am talked to moto support ,they told update will received in 2 days but 2 days past away they told previous information was wrong please wait another 2 days it will surely receive.some funny things when lenovo take over Motorola it's service quality poor day by day.lenove done a real mess.guys don't wait for nougat update for moto x play. I think the update not coming anymore.

Received the 7.1.1 update on my Moto X Play on Oct 1st 2017 (with Sept 1, 2017 security patch). Though no noticeable lag or bugs, apps do crash sometimes. Highly recommend those who stay on 6.0.1 to be happy with Marshmallow. It's atleast wholly stable!

I manually downloaded the update from xda site and placed the files in my phone and started the update but resulted in an error and stuck at the bootscreen.Now device is in the service centre for new software installation. Crazy OS charges too - 550Rs. Really........

Today i factory reset my phone af... moresame thing happened with me too. i got 7.1 update and i cancelled it to move my files from phone memory to memory card. and than when i checked. its gone. no 7.1 update. they said to format it and i did hard reset. no help
if you find any solution which i am looking and searching too for. please do give me the solution too if you find one

Great to know that you just updated your Moto x play to nougat 7.1.1.Oreo will be a great add on but Motorola has not listed the Moto X play in the list of devices that would be receiving Android Oreo.
