Moto X Play is now receiving the update to Android 7.1.1 Nougat

Two and a half months later and still no update. What a farce. I phoned up Customer Support in the UK and was told last week it was still rolling out. Really? I can't find a single documented case online of this handset model receiving the update. All the tech blogs say it hasn't arrived. Motorola have just lost themselves a LOT of customers.

I fail to understand the logic behind releasing the update news on website and not updating the phone even after month?.I mean motorola ...is it u?...seriously..th moto brand...? My moto x play is waiting......

Not every phone from every brand is successful, then it maybe samsung also... The note 7 also had issues... Who knows how the 615 drivers were... The 615 and 810 are different... Who knows that if the op2 got the nougat update it would be completely messed up...? Who knows that even your mxp when it gets updated would be completely messed up?
Talking about updates, oneplus one was released with KitKat but the company owned up and updated it till marshmallow and when the chip manufacturer stopped the updates then it abandoned it... But what about your moto G3? Even the J5 2015 will be getting nougat and moto G3 is rejected from the treat... Why? The G2 also came from KitKat and was updated to marshmallow then why not the G3? The hardware is capable the phone is good... Its just because of Lenovo moto...
