Some of the pictures are mislabeled as S8 when they clearly should be S7.
I see very very little difference between the two except for low light. There, the S8 has clearly better noise reduction. The difference in color in the night church one is kinda weird though. The other yellowish night scene is quite similar between the two.
I would also say the S8 has the sharpening cranked up slightly more than the S7.

The No... moreNote 8 can't come soon enough for them, maybe because a+ple will pay for another constant stream of @30 or more stories to perpetualy try and destroy its public image as per Note 7, ? Pity a+ple only got 0.00000001% sales lead ( supposedly..too daft to print) even with whole of Note 7 recall, so looks like Samsung would be even further ahead in sales than "i"screenless, bezell phone, the aniversary phone is rumoured to be the innovation, an all bezell, no screen phone, called the "i" bezell 10. If this goes to be a^ple Pr moderated , I've been "m" bezelled.

Why are you comparing the S8 to the S7 edge and not to the S7? The S8 is a stretched S7. The S7 edge to the S8 Plus not to the S8.

Anonymous, 04 Jun 2017Nothing (much) differentiates the same camera sensor. LOL I think it's all in the software tweak for s8's minor improvement over s7. Unfortunately, samsung has a guaranteed software history of not improving the previous model with new and better software of the next flagship. Therefore, s7 owners are not getting the s8 camera software improvement

What I agree with most are their closing sentiments. The Note8 can't come soon enough with dual cameras (optical zoom, please) and FPS placement that isn't terrible.

However, these things are hard to get right by phone manufacturers in all conditions, and the sensor manufacturer has little to do with it. If you want most things got right in color reproduction, look at the Canon and Nikon cameras, and maybe also to Fuji and Panasonic (Sony is way off in color reproduction even though, ironically, they make like 80% of the sensors).

Am I the only one who thinks the S7 Edge actually has better color reproduction in low light?
The S8 look too washed out at that church photo.

In my opinion, S7 edge is at least equal to the S8 when it comes to the camera. Better design than S8, processor is just a little bit improved on the S8. The S7 edge is perfectly fine for me

Well that's fair enough because s7 and edge were a bit ahead of the league last year and there wasn't any need of reinventing the wheel this time, saying that today we went some where with friends and I have Mate 9 and iPhone 7 plus and my friend has s8 plus and frankly speaking low light strength with abundant details were there in s8+ and no doubt it's camera is superior to mine both flagships at least in auto mode.
