This list is more like top music players with material design.
The best players should be
1. Poweramp (a crazy amount of features, lyrics, customization, nice EQ - distorts the
sound of high bit rate files for some reason)
2. Foobar2000 (nothing fancy, just pure audio, supports almost every audio file, can
flawlessly handle high bitrate songs - it is modular but very new, so no addons/skins like
its PC version yet)
3. Musixmatch (Lyrics, fantastic music identifier - sound might be too distorted on a few
devices)
4. Player Pro (massively customize-able, lyrics, can batch fetch album/artist artworks -
pricey, free skins are not good, most features restricted to paid version)
5. AIMP (very small app, great EQ - a bit buggy)

Well, if you play musics just for looking for the design, maybe this list is awesome.
But if you play musics for, uhm, listen to them, then this list is garbage.
I tried tons of player maybe since the start of Android, paired with tons of good IEMs, none of them beat Poweramp in term of Sound Quality. And you can tweak the sound without sounding weird. Unlike JetAudio. Yes you will have so many option to tweak the sound, but it will sound hilariously weird.
Trust me, if you want to actually listen to your musics, just use Poweramp. Their Alpha build can play High Res output using your phone own DAC. Not a single app mentioned in this list capable of that.

I used to use so many different kinds of music players (PowerAMP, Jet Audio, Samsung Music Player etc). Then I started using "Google Play Music" without subscription. I upload music & create playlist there. It doesn't take much time to upload (my internet upload speed is 1Mbps). And you can listen to your music in anywhere, just log in. In case of new phones, just download the playlist so that I can listen them offline. Its amazing.

What? Who made this list? Lmao. PowerAmp should be number 1 here. Very good quality and nice tweaks available. Using it a lot of time, also bought premium

I am using GoneMad Music player for 3 years. :D it's the best for me. I've used the others but I keep coming back to gmmp because of the design and the customizations.

After testing tens of players, i desided to keep N7 player as it provides best sound quality - best volume normalization and clipping prevention, simple too.
Stellio player is not bad too.
Poweramp is only good if you want maximum loudness or native wma (And maybe some other unpopular formats). But you won't get balanced sound, no matter what you do with all the (seemingly) abundant options.

No one buys Android to have a clone iPhone music player.
PowerAmp is still the best. Good widgets, Good folder list, Good UI, Good sound. The rest iPhone music players wannabe are crap.
