I will always leave a comment whenever I saw an article about top android music player but not having my fave app mentioned.
Try this:
Neutron Music Player - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neutroncode.mp&hl=en
Sure the interface could be better.
But the quality is awesome, I can guarantee that.

Think this should be about audio sound quality, supported formats & options & not about feels & looks. Lol! Somehow you enlisted only cheap fancy skinned ones with almost zero to none additional options & based on default Android system sound processing & decoding libs.
All do for a some reason most if not all those with good additional libs for sound processing & in some case self stand decoders are designed ugly as hell it's most important that they do their prime task & that is quality audio reproduction.
I will stand out the foobar2000 from the heap because it's open source al do young & with much more space for improvements.

i am using Phonograph because it supports folder view, good material design, low ram usage (important because my phone only has 2gb ram) and it is free..its integrated sound tweaking features/equalizer doesnt matter to me because i am using V4A..i still dont understand why there are still music player app that doesnt support folder view..i mean it is easier to manage your music from directory compared to creating playlist

Music Player doesn't matter. What matters is what the music player is playing. Genres like Slamming Brutal, Deathcore, Deathmetal, Djent, etc.

"if you want something that's simple and doesn't look like it was designed in the last decade"...that is the Play Music.
I've also bought BlackPlayer. Let's move on

VLC for everything! It does not have ads or annoying iaps or restrictions. Only thing it lacks is multiple selection for adding to a playlist.

It doesn't matter who is the best music player, they are the same food with different package. Personally i think you can make differences with sound processing like V4A vs rest of apps who modify audio. In Amazon Fire Phone with V4A i get better sound than S6 Edge with original audio processing. But hey, is an 100$ vs 400$, and same earphones
