Wow! Awesome specs that really re-invigorate the tablet department. Hopefully Android makers will follow suit and make tablets great again!

Personally I cant remember when I last connected my smartphone to my computer, to transfer files. It's generally easier for me, to just upload to the cloud or download the movies through my streaming service.

Latency when using the Pen on the Surface Pro is 21 milliseconds. It also has over 4000 points of pressure

I much prefer an 100% laptop, or an 100% tablet. Besides Windows suck for tablet use, since you're to revert to laptop mode most ofthen than not, why not just buy an ultrabook with touch support , or better yet a convertible?

2in1s are such a terrible gimmick. A good ideas for 3-4 years ago ... Nowadays they're just too gimmicky.

AnonD-66273, 06 Jun 2017overpriced, no thanks.I don't think it's overpriced, with those specs you can use these tablets easily atleast next 4 years. These powerhouses will last very long, divide the money for 3-4 years and it doesn't cost much.

I mean what there's to improve anymore with upcoming models? Im still using 2013 iPad Air and see anything wrong about that product, but now i just want something new and buy this 10.5" and i think i will have it many years.

                      That answers any question.

Windows is quite decent for a laptop or a desktop. For touch based environmnets? 3rd rate at best, few good apps, no optimizations for touch ... and generally a pain in the a$$

I never understood the popularity of 2in1 windows devices. They're mediocre tablets, mediocre laptops. Take Surface Pro. For the price you can buy a kickass ultrabook, or a kickass tablet (ipad pro) ... if you want both in the form of one ... you actually lose majorly from either.

Dell XPS 13 ... is like 10 times the laptop Surface Pro would wish to be and ipad pro is 10 times the tablet Surface Pro would wish to be...

Maybe that's why unlike what would the projections say the 2in1 sales halted and are actually selling far lower than predicted. People understood its gimmicky nature...

Full multi-window support, file browser? Omnipresent dock? Those are all things that old Apple would swear away from.

I disagree that early ipads were making rapid changes. Ever since the original ipad we're getting the same thing up until ipad pro.

And since this is "pro, part Deux", it's equally or -actually- more revolutionary.

Finally this line of products come of age. Up until ipad Air 2 I couldn't see their point. Were it overpowered ebook readers? Underpower laptops? Or merely big phones?

Ipad pro 2 ... finally sheds a light on the question... It *is* an entry laptop, that loses in power and functionality, but gains immensely in ergonomy and portability...

The first minor improvement over what the original iPad AIR brought back in 2013, although still nowhere as revolutionary, and with a gradual but now severely noticeable price hike over what iPads used to cost. Especially shocking if you consider how little they are changing compared to back in the days,
